Not impressed
While the Rookery is an interesting hotel, our room was extremely small and dark. The front desk did nothing more than show us to our room. For the price, I do not think this was a good value, although it was our first trip to London.

I love this hotel!
Just simply a charming place to stay in London. It doesnt "feel" like a hotel. It feels like youve been transported to another era. I recomend this hotel to anyone looking for something different from the "mass" hotels that most people stay in.

Charming Hotel but book with caution
This was my 3rd stay at the Rookery. I really love the charm of the place and proximity to all the happenings in Clerkenwell and Letherlane shopping. But, I was unfortunate to have booked at a time when there was a large American business group in this small hotel. They monopolised the public spaces and were a bit loud and inconsiderate. The staff at the hotel is always first class however and the room was excellent.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Best to ask for a room not overlooking Cowcross, the main little street - it can be noisy at night.
