Location makes up for shortcomings
Not bad for a European hotel. Room was well kept and clean, but mattress and pillows were hard. Hardwood floors and an office-type chair meant no real comfortable place to sit and rest. Supurb location right next to Las Ramblas and the metro. Staff was very helpful and spoke excellent English.

OK with some limitations
I chose the hotel because of the proximity to my work (it was across the street). However, access to the elevators was by stair, and their small size (and sometimes slow service) often negated the ease of being able to return quickly in case I forgot something. Also, there was NO fridge in the room. And to use the safe you must pay get a key at the front desk with a 10 euro deposit. WARNING: Make sure they record your deposit!!! I almost got gyped the return of it, when I returned the key, because the idiot girl never wrote it down--or were they scamming me? Also, you have to hope they don’t hand out key copies to everyone when you’re not around. (Because of this, I was very careful about what I actually left in the safe, in case it did disappear.)
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
The breakfast buffet was adequate but rather overpriced. Much better to go to any of the local restaurants nearby. There is a computer in the upstairs lobby/lounge but the printer and audio was not connected. It also costs 2euros for five minutes of access, so better to bring your own laptop if you can.

Great Location
Hotel is in a great location. Very clean and large rooms. Bed very comfortable. Elevator a little slow but thats ok we walked the stairs for the exercise. Would definitely stay here again. Right in the middle of everything.
