Nothing to write home about
To be fair, I am told that some rooms here are nice and others are not. I got one that was very small, had extra furniture(like it was stored there) to make it harder to move around. All in all, this room size is probably normal for Europe, I guess, but would be improved greatly by an update in curtains, furniture(and less of it!) and rug. Not many other options for places to stay there though. Worst was that internet did not work in my room, only in the lobby, which was a hassle for urgent mails.

a modest but comfortable hotel in Aalborg
The hotel is an 18th-century house, but has been remade into a comfortable high-quality hotel, by European standards. Because of the age of the hotel, one has to carry bags up or down two or three stairs; and my room was close to the roof so the windows were in effect skylights (with useful and very snug shades).
