Not the Meridien
The Meridien has had a change of ownership. It is old, a bit dated, rather expensive for Copacabana but nice. The restaurants and bar are all very expensive and really not worth it. They keep the place clean and it has a great view of the beach. Make sure you get a high floor facing the beach or your view will be terrible.

Nice hotel
The hotel is close to the local airport Santos Dumont and to Rio International’s Airport (it’s the closest) Very well located and nice service. It’s perfect for business and it’s the one I use when I stay in Rio.
Traveler's tip on dining
You have to go to Marius, the Concierge can make the reservation for you. You can walk to the restaurant, it’s near to the hotel. Perfect steaks and seafood to eat!

Good Hotel, Excellent Location on Copacabana Beach
I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again. Reasonable prices. Nil problems experienced.
