Great hotel
This hotel is great for quick stays in San Jose. The service was great, the property is beautiful and the room was excellent. It is very close (10 min ride) to the airport. It is far from the city center though. I would recommend it for those who are only staying in San Jose for a short stay before heading to other parts of Costa Rica.
Costa Rica is a great country - we had a blast. I would recommend staying somewhere other than San Jose. Not that the city isn’t nice, but this unique environment warrants more exploration than its capital city. There are other areas of this beautiful country that will make a trip to Costa Rica memorable!

The Best Vacations EVER!!!!
I got this vacation for my husband as his 50th birthday present, and i have to say, this has been the best vacations i ever had, he says the same thing. Costa Rica is beautiful, the people are nice, polite and friendly. we are considering retirement in Costa Rica. This hotel is gorgeous. The food was excelent, the service was superb. Someone would think the food was a little expensive, but I say with the money I saved on my tickets and excursions it didn’t hurt my pockets. You should try it!!!! One thing I forgot, the taxi to the hotel only cost us $6.00 for both of us, is that a bargain or what.?
Stay at the Mariott and get your excursions there. They provide shuttle service for the excursions and one or two meals per day of excursion. What a deal!!!

Beautiful hotel!
We spent our first night in Costa Rica at the Marriott and were absolutely delighted with it. The pool is beautiful (although cold) and there is a hot tub as well. Dinner in the dining room was delicious and very reasonably priced. We got a breakfast buffet included with the room and thought it was delicious, too. Staff were great and spoke English quite well. Wish we could have stayed longer!
