Millinnium Hotel - Christchurch, New Zealand
A five-star hotel in the heart of the city, across from the main cathedral. Excellent staff, good food, easy walking to many city sites. Highly recommend for business or leisure.
Traveler's tip
For travellers planning to visit several cities, the GPS is highly recommended, particularly for those drivers unaccustomed to driving on the left side of the road. Milford Sound is a "rain forest" with rain 200 days/year, so plan accordingly.

very impressed
Just would like to register how my family and I were satisfied with the 2 days we spent in this hotel: the best location of the town! (the only best place is the across the street cathedral!)

Convienent & friendly hotel
We only stayed at this hotel for one evening, but it was perfect for our needs. We received very friendly service from the valet, bellboy and check-in staff. The hotel is conveniently located in Cathedral Square, which is an easy walk to major downtown tourist destinations as well as major rental car locations. The room was spacious, modern and quiet.
Traveler's tip on dining
We highly recommend The Honey Pot Cafe on Lichfield Street just a few blocks away from the Millenium hotel. All the food was great as was the atmosphere, but I just can’t say enough about the simple, but delicious salad! There’s also great local art for sale on the walls.

Shower annoyance
The shower curtain was a real pain. It was very light and kept being sucked into the shower.

Very Nice
The hotel was in a great location at the heart of Christchurch. We walked to many locations from the hotel, also enjoyed walking around the city centre square and the market. Great place!

My choice for a return visit
We were happy with all of the hotel facilities . The room temperature was two or three degrees too cool for us all of the time.
