I would go back - when the spa is open.
Hotel is beautiful and staff is gracious and helpful. We were disappointed that the spa was closed Sunday afternoon and all day Monday. The spa was one of the main attractions for us and it would have been nice if the hotel had some more flexibility. The view is spectacular and the restaurant superb. Rooms are beautiful. We had a junior suite.
Traveler's tip
Take a taxi from hotel to Morelia for sightseeing. It is only 30 pesos and sure beats trying to park in the old town of Morelia.

A Little bit of heaven
I really hate to write a great review of the Villa Montana Hotel and Spa for fear that too many will visit this wonderful place in Morelia. Located in Bella Vista overlooking the charming town of Morelia, the Villa Montana is a superior location because of 1.,it’s location, 2.,the exceptional service, 3., the quality and care the staff and management pour into the hotel. The grounds are immaculate and tastefully decorated by works of local artisans. This is a true getaway for those looking for a place like this.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Morelia is a great jumping off place to search and discover all of the colonial towns and villlages in the area. An easy drive and so much to discover. Well worth the effort and the local shops are great.
