Be carefull with Loodge room
When I booked this hotel I intend to be in a castle, what it realy is. The problem was that I stayed away from the castle in the middle of the woods.I felt like a prisioner,if I want to go to the hotel I had to call the reception, because there was a lot of muddle and I could not walk. I had to wait for a golf card to pick me up. Be carefull because loodge room means loodge ,away from the castle. When I booked it ,nowhere it was explained that this kind of room were away from the castle, in a place where I could not even see the castle. The next day I moved to a room in the castle, that was nice and charming. I think they should be honest and explain where those loogde rooms are.

Stay elsewhere--completely unimpressed
I stayed at Dalhousie Castle recently. I have never been more disappointed in my accommodations. The castle itself was booked, so I was was put in the Lodge House. Ugh. The price that I paid was ridiculously inflated for such pitiful accommodations. There *is* a reason they dont put pictures of the Lodge House on their site! The castle is also out in the middle of nowhere. With no transportation, youre simply stuck. Lastly, the castle dinner appropriately named "The Dungeon" was the worst food that I had in the UK. Although imaginative in description, it was horribly tastelss, dry, and boring--certainly not worth the high price tag attached to the dinner. The hotel breakfast was the highlight of the stay--substantial and tasty. Although the people of Bonnyrigg Scotland (outside of the hotel) were charming, friendly and generous, I would never recommend the hotel. As for Edinburgh and Bonnyrigg: Go. Stay in the area. But find different accommodations!

Honeymoon stop off
We spent a night and a day at this wonderful place! The staff was fantastic, and they made us feel really special on our honeymoon. We did the falconry and spa/massage as well; we couldnt have been happier. Keep up the good work, you are a beacon of service!
