Ideal for times when you dont wish to rough it.
This is a very comfortable high-end traveler hotel. The staff is English-friendly and very attentive. The restaurant has excellent food, and is better than most of the restaurants youll find in the central shopping/walking district. The rooms are large, air-conditioned, and there is an internet cable in the room, although you pay for each day of internet. In the basement of the hotel is a spa, which is quite nice, with a steam room, sauna, whirlpool, and some quiet rooms for resting. Very relaxing. There is a very small mini-bar fridge, so if so inclined, you can pick up some soda or beer at the stores in town, and chill them down, saving some $$. The hotel is literally just across the street from the main Bahnhof (out the front door, turn right and cross the street, if you walk for more than 5 minutes, you passed it), so it is ideal for anyone taking rail, or if you need to fly out of Frankfurt, which is only 30-40 minutes away by rail. I enjoyed my stay immensely, and will probably stay there when I need to be around Frankfurt.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The Kaiser Friedrich Therme is an old Spa in the old town. get a map at the hotel and its a 10 minute walk. The bath is like those in Baden-Baden, and is wonderful, with pools, saunas, steam, whirpools. Bring a towel, although rental available, and bath-shoes if you have, although not required. Co-ed naked, so its not for the bashful. Hourly rate, very reasonable, and you pay once you leave based on time in. Highly recommended.
