First timers to Paris
We only had a few days in Paris and decided on the Crystal Hotel because of the location and intimate size of hotel. We arrived a bit early, but were able to check in after waiting a short 10 minutes for our room to be ready. The young lady at the desk was friendly and helpful when we needed direction to understand how to make connecting metro trains to get from one landmark to another. We definitley want to return to Paris for a longer time and enjoy it at a less frantic pace and will definitley choose the Crystal Hotel again. The room was clean and the neighborhood of Saint Germain des Pres was easy and safe to walk around in the evening when returning to our room.
Paris has one of the best public transporation systems, The Metro! Very easy to master. Walking in Paris is the best way to see Paris, but if only there for a few days, it was nice to have The Metro to get from the Eiffel Tower to the Notre Dame Cathedral expediently.

Tiny, tiny rooms but very good location
The rooms were very small even by Paris standards. The people in the reception were helpful, the location was ideal, and the breakfast was good. We were in a remodeled room on the ground floor, so the bathroom was nice, but the room windows opened onto an internal patio looking into other rooms so if you wanted privacy the curtains could not be opened and there was very little air circulation, which made the room too warm for sleeping and we could hear the noise from all of the other rooms.
