I hope this is what heaven is like. Truly unbelievable place. This is Paradise.

Went to Bora Bora after a cruise. Have been to 5 islands on cruise. Bora Bora is the only place to visit in my opinion. After landing at airport was met by representative. We and our bags were picked up and put on the boat for transportation to hotel. Boat ride was quick and beautiful. When reaching resort was taken to reception where we relaxed on a couch. We were given a cool moist towel and a drink of pineapple juice. Check in was easy and very relaxing. We were escorted to our overwater bungalow. We were showed how everything worked and our bags were already in the room. Resort is amazing. Scenery is to die for. Our bungalow was everything we expected and more. Staff was more then polite and helpful in every way possible. They even made reservations for us at Bloody Mary’s restaurant. A must see from movie South Pacific. Scuba dive shop is on property and staff was amazing. I was nervous with the dive but dive master was exceptional. Manea Spa is the most amazing spa I have ever seen. Staff was unbelievable. Setting was beautiful, quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Must go for massage if you are at Pearl Resort. You will pay for transportation from airport to hotel and back. My opinion is to somehow add this into the price of the room. Food can be pricey because options are limited. Food was great. Breakfast buffet was delicious. I like a big breakfast and they did not disappoint.

Customer service was lacking

One of our largest concerns were renovations to bungalows morning to evening everday but sunday. They even put guests in units directly adjacent to the units being refurbished. Not that it mattered where you where, as the construction sounds were markedly present from any of the over-water units.. Its just not the same with electric sanders and hammers beating away in paradise. We were there six days and when they completed repairs to one unit they moved on to the next one. Construction of this magnitude should be handled off season without guests present. Room service had an average response at best if it was a chargeable item. No response at all if you need help like a new blow dryer or laundry pickup. Once you get to a manager, service response improved dramatically. If you are spending this much for relaxation, you should not have to ask the resort manager to solve simple problems like confirming a reservation or getting a canoe. Managers did try to resolve problems as they arose but most of the issues we encountered should have never happened at a resort of this class. Meal quality and overall taste was not at the level I expect from resorts of this class. This was an absolutely beautiful location. Local attitude to customer service is lackadaisical at best. I guess living in paradise has its tradeoffs.
