Just what we needed
We were looking for a nice hotel to use as a starting point and to sleep in. The Clarion was the ideal place.
Traveler's tip
Irish hotels do not have ice machines like American Hotels & Motels. That takes some getting used to.

The Staff Was Extremely Helpful
I truly enjoyed my three night stay at the Clarion in Dublin. The staff was extremely pleasant, helpful and attentive. The food was delicious but a bit on the expensive side. My room overlooked the River Liffey and the view was beautiful. The hotel is an enjoyable ten or fifteen minute walk from the center of Dublin. My room was clean and nicely decorated. A few blocks away, on one of the Quays, I discovered a unique pub named The Pint. The owner told me the history of the building and was friendly. The food was very tasty and resaonably priced.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Be sure to visit the nearby pub named The Pint. Its great for families, has a unique interior, has a friendly staff (especially Patrick, the owner) and serves great food at very reasonable prices. Also, dont miss strolling the walkway along the River Liffey and viewing the Famine Statues and informative plaques.

Good Hotel. Fair Location.
I really liked the hotel and staff. The bar was small. The garage is seperated from the hotel and during rain, it is not good. The parking on the street is very difficult. Not a close walk to the popular areas.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
Arlington is only decent bar within walkind distance. Others are about a mile away.
