A refreshing hotel
We only stayed there one night after landing in Dublin from the states. It was a great hotel to catch up on jet lag. Everyone was very informative and kind and we had a great experience.

It was good for the most part
"The hotel room was spacious and clean. However, there was a huge hole in our blow dryer hose and the toilet did not flush easily."
Traveler's tip
The bus ride into the city is about 45 min. with traffic. The bus is always 15-30 minutes late outside the hotel. It pays to get a ramblers ticket for the bus which you can buy at the main tourist office downtown.

1 hour from downtown Dublin!!!
The hotel is mainly a business conference type hotel. We were a family of 5. Booked 2 family rooms but could have stayed in one. Very Large room. Our rooms faced the main entrance of the Hotel where EVERYONE went out to smoke --very loud in the middle of the night when bar patrons were out there. Bathroom was old, mold in the shower grout. The pool has limited hours for children, free for guests. No kids in the pool after 6pm. Food and drinks were quite expensive at the Hotel. **Hotel claims to be 6 km from downtown DUBLIN..the # 69 bus picks up in front of the Hotel and goes downtown but it TAKES ONE HOUR!!! Traffic is terrible. So you really missout on two hours a day in sightseeing. Get the bus schedule and plan accordingly. If you are there to see Dublin--stay in downtown Dublin. Not here. Hotel staff are either extremely kind and helpful or rude..no inbetween. It was 40 euro for taxi to the airport at 4am with no traffic.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
If you are going to see alot of sights in Dublin buy the dublin pass discount card. The tourist information office in Dublin is huge and everyone is very helpful. Book the Guiness tour online and save 10% off admission and skip the line! A one day family bus pass costs 8.50 euro for two adults and up to 4 kids. The public transportation is great within the city. Lots of pubs offer live Irish music from 5-7pm so the whole family and enjoy and after 9pm for adults only.
