Nothing in Life Is Free
This is the first lodging I have ever stayed in where the in-room coffee was not complementary. Even though the Restaurant Legazpi was almost totally empty, they did not want to let anyone in wearing shorts. Long pants, preferably slacks, with shoes and socks were expected for men. We were not told that only one small section of the Sunday brunch buffet was considered the continental breakfast and complementary. When we paid the bill upon checkout there were charges for items that we thought were complementary as well as charges for items that were complementary. Adjustments were made. Overall, however, it was a very nice stay and I would definitely return.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Do not assume that anything is complementary at Las Hadas without making sure first.

Huge,nice,good service
We were satisfied. The only problem we had was the ac in our room, it did not cool to a comfortable temp. The mosquito were a problem for me. I recommend you keep your door closed at all times. Overall we had a fantastic time. Also do not . I repeat. Do not use or take anything from the mini-bar/cooler. Woow! Do they charge you big time.Take your own bottle water, soda, snacks ext.Leave the cooler alone.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Do not take any item from the cooler/bar. It will cost you a lot of bucks$$$$ Trust me.

Old hotel, no quality, no service, pretentious & expensive
The best years of this hotel have passed. Beautiful location and gardens: thats it. Very pretentious and expensive. During our planning this vacation trip, my wife and I read good and bad reviews for this hotel. We decided to try it, but divided our week to be sure. Tree days at Las Hadas Manzanillo and four days at Barra de Navidad. Rooms were about the same price but the other resort at Barra de Navidad was superior, what a difference! Everything looks old at Las Hadas. The lobby has old moldy wood everywhere. Our room and bath was not kept clean. Food prices at restaurants and room service is expensive and low quality. In general, personnel is not trained for service. They do not enforce quality control on personnel grooming and appearance.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
If you are looking for comfort and service do not stay at this hotel, period. Expensive for what you get. If you want to spend the same budget, you will get more at other similarly ranked hotels.
