Great for an overnite stay .
We stayed at the Carat for 1 nite to catch a rtn flt back to Canada. The hotel is situated in a ’lite industrial area’ which was fine since it was just an o/nite. The hotel is a 15-20 min shuttle ride to/from FRA. When we collected our bags, we stopped at an ’Info’ desk and the gentleman was very helpful; we explained, he called the hotel and then he gave directions for our p/u point. It was very smooth except for the 45 min wait for the shuttle; on check-in the front desk offered no explan for the wait...oh well [pls note this is not a complaint simply an observation]...there is a multitude of taxis if one preferred. The Mexican restaurant @ Carat was busy; no wonder, the food was very good and the beer...well, it is Germany... was excellent. Thx (will stay again)

Pay a few extra euros for something else
Front desk staff was a little snooty and room is extremely bare. The toilet was in a ridiculously cramped space. It could have been designed much better. Had a non-smoking room, but there was a foul odor. Had free Internet, but I was never given the code on checkin and it was very, VERY slow. Parking was also impossible and aiport was not THAT close. Seems a stretch to call it an aiport hotel.

Great stay near Frankfurt airport
We enjoyed our first stay, so returned at the end of our 3 weeks in Germany. They have friendly multi lingual staff, free shuttle to and from the airport, free internet in the lobby (wireless worked in our first room but not our 2nd room), refrigerators in room, good restaurant at hotel which also has good buffet breakfast (extra charge), shopping center with several grocery stores & restaurants about 2 blocks away, 15 min walk to train station to ride train into Frankfurt, .
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
The nearby shopping center & gas station have less expensive food than their restaurant, and grocery stores have cooked food as well if you are there longer & want a variety. The information booth at the airport called the shuttle for us for free.
