A quaint city stay close to entertainment.
We picked this hotel for a one-night staycation because its close to attractions. We arrived late in the evening to a welcoming and cheery front desk attendant. Our 2nd floor room had amenities one would expect (fridge, cable tv, etc) but it also carried a light musty odor, which can be common in historical hotels. Upon mentioning, they kindly offered us a new room, but I was content with a quick spritz of deodorizer to neutralize it. There was no scenic view from our window (I recommend the larger suites). The hotel overall was quiet, which any possible noise was muffled by the AC window unit. I greatly enjoyed the complimentary light breakfast consisting of toast, english muffins, cereal, juice, fresh fruit and other items. We had our coffee on the veranda facing the unusually quiet street. This hotel is within walking distance to the Muvico, shopping and a few bistros and nice restaurants. There is a small city park adjacent to the hotel, that I strongly recommend not visiting, as theres not much to mention. Overall it was a positive experience.
The Dali Museum is a must see. I found St. Petersberg to be a quiet big city. We strolled the streets near the hotel on a weekend morning and did encounter many others. As for outside the city, I recommend visiting the national parks and walking to the pier. Its a romantic stroll.

Great Old St. Petersburg spot
This should be rated higher than a 2-star. The hotel keeps that "old " hotel tradition while fitting well with todays traveler. The staff was fantastic and helpful. The location is within walking distance of many attractions. I would not hesitate to return.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
When you go out for dinner, take a left when leaving the hotel. That is a safe area with many nice shops, museums and restaurants.
