terrible smoking smell
the hotel is nice but the smoking smell is horrible and very noisy street.

Laietana Palace
Nice hotel in a great location - walk to Barri Gotic, Ramblas, and El Born for great tapas/nightlife. Jaume I metro stop a half block away, grocery store within a few blocks. On a main street, but our room was quiet, and air-conditioned (very needed in August).

clean, great staff, perfect location
We were very satisfied with Laietana Palace Hotel during our week-long stay. The room was nice; the best parts were the firm mattresses and the great bathroom with a brand new shower. The staff was very responsive to our questions or requests. The lobby is spacious, with a number of seating areas for small groups to relax, go over the day’s agenda, read books or magazines (some are provided by the hotel) or use the laptop that is available to guests. Within walking distance of the hotel are many wonderful sights of Barcelona, great restaurants, amazing architecture, local markets, history galore and the beach! We didn’t need a car at all!
