Treated like Royalty
From the moment we pulled up to the gates of this Palace we were treated like royalty. It was truly an amazing experience staying here. We ended our trip here and after 2 weeks of touring Spain and Portugal there was no better way to finish up a fabulous family trip. The breakfast was fabulous, the pool was simply magical..the grounds were immaculate. A easy taxi/trolley ride to all attractions. We never wanted to leave.

wonderful oasis in a big city
this hotel is a jewel in a big, somewhat decaying city. the oublic rooms are very opulent in a bygone style. I don’t know whether the furniture were reproductions or authentic......I stayed in the modern wing/ addition of the hotel and the rooms there do not match this initial opulence one is confronted with, but are rather small. I don’t know if the rooms in the main building are better.....the bathroom was adequate but by no means luxurious. the staff was very accomodating, helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous and the setting very lovely. yes, if I ever would go back to Lisbon, I might stay there. one had a certain feeling of belonging and not being a stranger, lost in a big city.
