Always happy with it

This was not our first trip to the Stonebridge Inn. We have gone back multiple times as it is reasonable and reliable place to stay.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Stonebrige Inn is a very short distance from the new Snowmass Base Village development, which will eventually include new stores and restaurants.

Nice Hotel in a Beautiful Setting

We love our stay at The Stonebridge Inn. We had two rooms, 3rd floor and 6th floor. We were aware of the fact that there is no a/c, but it was not a problem. There was a fan available and there was always a lovely breeze with the windows open a bit. The restaurant was excellent and the bar setting is so pretty - overlooking the pool area and the mountains. The staff was helpful and friendly. We would love to return to Stonebridge in the near future. The drive to Aspen was easy, maybe took 10 minutes, if even that. Great location, comfortable hotel, nice price!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Don’t miss the Maroon Bells tour. Quick bus trip up the mountain to the most gorgeous location. You can stay as long as you like, and then ride the bus back down. You can hike, or just sit and enjoy the beauty of the Bells. Bring your camera!

Comfortable place to stay

I have stayed at the Stonebridge previously and enjoyed it. I found the room and queen bed to be comfortable though I wished they had a fan in the room. It was cool enough at night but in the the afternoon it was a little stuffy in July. My only complaint would be the cost of the breakfast buffet. I felt even for Snowmass that it was over priced for the choices offered as well as the quality.

No Air Conditioning

The hotel was ok except for the no air conditioning! When I called down to the front desk to ask about it they told me to open the window. We were in the front of the hotel right on the road and the road noise made it so we had to close the window. Very stuffy and warm!

great value

Clean, well maintained hotel with excellent location. Room clean and well maintained with reasonable amenities. I would have preferred a softer bed, otherwise "perfect". The personnel wwere conscientious, hard working, courtious and the cuisine was fairly good although overpriced (as are all things in the Aspen / Snowmass area. All in all, a great vacation spot for my son and me. George M.

Nice location, plenty of windows in the bar and restaurant.

Breakfast was great; even better than the last time we stayed here a few years ago. Great tasting soup after skiing hit the spot! The rooms were nicely decorated but the TV configuration was cumbersome and obstructive. Shuttles were fairly prompt and accommodating. But the morning shuttle to the airport is only hourly and we missed the breakfast we had paid for. (To their credit, they did make us up a take-out box when asked.)

Take a short walk down the ski slope at the end of the day to Sneaky’s Bar. They have great (and reasonable) food and attractive dining area.

Very comfortable and friendly stay

The staff is very helpful, the vans to take you anywhere as far as Aspen airport are always ready, the food (particularly their breakfast buffet) in their restaurant, The Artisan, is probably THE best in Snowmass. The room’s are very nicely decorated and we had a nice view even though we didn’t upgrade to their "mountain view" room. Overall, I am extremely happy having stayed there.

Traveler's tip on nightlife

My wife and I love going out and we found some really nice places in Aspen and Snowmass. There’s Zane’s, in Snowmass, one of the best known bars there. Sneaky’s is a new restaurant at the base where the new construction is; very friendly and relatively inexpensive. Little Annie’s in Aspen is a good restaurant/bar to get the night started. Belly Up just across the street from the bus RFTA station in Aspen is a great hang out with live music and other shows.

I enjoyed my stay alot.

I had great service the entire stay, with a very comfortable room. It has a free european breakfast, any plenty of cable channels for your enjoyment. I will stay there again.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

One block from shopping mall/restaurants. Bus stop in front will take you to Aspen for shoping, dining, Ect.

Issues, but eventually resolved

Original room that we checked into was clean and recently renovated, however, we discovered that the toilet had a leak that was creating a puddle in the room. The hotel staff was very nice and looked at the problem right away. While we were dining at the restaurant, they decided they needed to move us since the maintenance crew wouldn’t be available until the next day. Unfortunately, the housekeeping crew was too busy to have any additional rooms made up. After re-packing we got to our new room and discovered that the beds were not made and that it hadn’t be cleaned. We went back to original room, my husband turned off the water shut-off to the toilet and slept in a room that probably should never have been used. We were told we would get an upgraded room, which ended up being a floor down and across the hall from our original room. Luckily the leaky toilet did not reach our new room. Overall, I give high marks to the desk staff, but let’s say the start of the stay wasn’t stellar.

Nice place - probably GREAT in ski season

I was in Snowmass for a brief stay which was purely to relax. The Stonebridge Inn is very convenient to the Village’s primary shopping area, and near all the lifts that I presume one would use in the ski season. Comfortable room (although not huge), and very friendly staff. Good hotel restaurant. My only, very minor, note would be that for me, the room smelled a little too strongly of disinfectant. Otherwise, very comfortable, nice place to stay. I appreciated having a DVD player in the room.

Stonebridge Inn

My wife & I stayed at Stonebridge Inn during August 2008. We were treated with exceptional courtesy and respect by all staff members. The Artisan restaurant served tantalizing meal selections. Thank you for a memorable visit!

good deal but half closed in summer

The people were nice and did the best to provide good service, but it is really almost sort of closeed in summer so there is no room service, all the restaurants are half closed nearby, and even the person who makes reservations is not on duty on weekends..but it is a nice enough place and less than half the cost of most Aspen hotels. The chef in restaurant is really great.

Not really a Hotel Suite, but someone’s condo!

We reserved a "luxury suite" that turned out to be someone’s condo. Their "stuff" was there and one of the closets and a few cabinets were locked. There were repairs that needed to be made to the room, i.e. the sliding glass door to the balcony did not lock. The room was clean and the hotel convenient with a good restaurant, but I think we should have just gone with a regular queen room. We would not have felt like we were staying in someone’s home.

Traveler's tip on dining

Restaurant in the hotel was nice for dinner. Skip the continental breakfast...

Excellent Stay

The room was clean and the breakfast was good. The only caveat is don’t expect your water to drain very fast in the sink. We had two rooms and neither of the sinks drained well. Other than that minor inconvenience the stay was excellent.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Take the bicycle ride up to Ashcroft and eat at the restaurant. The ride up takes about two hours. The ride down takes about 30 minutes.

Great Hotel!

The hotel was great! We had a late night dinner at the resturant in the hotel. Very good food with a freindly staff and great service. The prices were a little high but not outrageous, pretty much what you would expect to pay in hotel in snowmass.

nice for the price

pool and hot tub was very nice. close to the snowmass mall. free breakfast was decent. shuttle bus stop to aspen was right out front of the hotel. room wasnt huge but worth the price. fridge in room too.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

one of the cheapest hotels in the area and with the shuttle to aspen it was worth saving money but staying in snowmass instead of aspen
