I was expecting much better
This hotel has so much wasted potential. It’s a beautiful old building, but needs updating. I had a room with two doubles. The carafe was missing from the coffeemaker, the carpet was worn, and the room decor was very "tired" overall, except for the new coverlets, which looked nice. All lightbulbs were cold flourescents, and the room smelled like disinfectant. There was a microwave sitting out on the desk, and a small refrigerator sitting out in the room.TV is not flatscreen, mattress is not pillowtop, and the shower rod is straight, not curved. All these things add up to "needs a makeover" to compete at this price point with other hotels in the area. No valet parking was offered, and the complimentary breakfast was extremely basic. No morning newspaper was offered.

Very Nice, Understated Hotel
The hotel was very nice, clean, bright, comfortable. A great location for the Art museum, and just to explore the city. I had read reviews on other websites that, truthfully, scared me, but my concerns were unfounded. The hotel has a European charm, not to say the rooms were small, they weren’t, the staff was friendly, i would recommend this hotel.
