"Best Little Hotel in Paris"
My first trip in Paris was quite memorable. From the Eiffel Tower to the Moulin Rouge, the attractions were spectacular. Embedded between the sites is the Cervantes Hotel, a charming hotel wonderfully located in the center of Paris, easily accessible from the Metro (Rome). The hotel staff was very friendly and willing to help, in addition to offering “a newbie like myself” suggestions on how to schedule my sightseeing venture. I’ve stayed at many hotels, and must say that the Cervantes’ service was exceptional, thus far. The rooms were recently renovated… but are quite small (common for European hotels). However; they were comfortable, clean and pleasant which made up for the lack of space. I even loved that my room had a balcony overlooking the Rue de Berne. The only negative about the hotel is the shower stall, very small for a robust person, like me. Nonetheless, the problem was easily resolved and definitely did not take away from the hotel experience. Lastly, for those early birds, the hotel offers breakfast to its clients. There was an array of baked goods (croissants, rolls, etc), coffee, a meat and cheese platter and scrambled eggs station. The breakfast is great for visitors who want to grab a quick bite to eat before heading into town. I highly suggest the Brie. I would definitely recommend the Hotel Cervantes to my friends and family, and those of you who are planning a trip to Paris. For my first trip to Paris, the Cervantes really made my trip worthwhile.

Not bad for the price, Great Breakfast buffet -- possibly best deal in Paris
I went with my girlfriend in October to Paris. The hotel staff was pretty friendly. We were very surprised to hear that our room would not be ready until 3pm! Check in time is way too late for this hotel. However, this hotel was within walking distance of the Paris subway system, and we found this to be very convenient. Also, the room is very modern and clean, but rather tight (but that is expected with most European Hotels). My girlfriend enjoyed the breakfast buffet (I was unfortunately ill that morning). I would recommend the hotel to others for a short stay in while in Paris.

Charming hotel in Paris
My wife and I chose this location based on the previous reviews of other travelers who had stayed at this hotel. Sure enough, almost everything that was written about it before was true. It was a great location, conveniently close between two metro stations. The breakfast buffet was a great deal serving delicious croissants, with perfectly cooked scrambled eggs and mini sausages. The rooms were very clean, decent sized, and the beds were very comfortable. Lastly, each of the employees were very helpful with directions, restaurant reservations, and other recommendations. Our only complaint was that our room was located on the second floor and becaause of the proximity to the train station, we would hear them rumble by at various hours of the day. So if you stay at this hotel be sure to ask for a room that is higher up. A friend of ours who was travelling with us, stayed on the 5th floor and did not experience any problems.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
The easiest way to get around in Paris is through their very expansive metro system. I would have to say it is one of the better ones Ive used in a major city. Most stations will either drop you off at major attractions or at least within a few blocks. Be sure to purchase a Paris Metro Visit pass based on your length of stay. This was extremely useful and much more convenient that purchasing a daily ticket.
