Okay hotel; surly receptionist
On the plus side, the room was reasonably spacious and clean. The hotel is in an ideal location, a few hundred meters from the intercity bus station and perhaps a kilometer from the main cathedral. On the negative side, the room we were given had a faulty thermostat and when we returned to the room, the temperature was unbearably hot. We went to reception and asked for another room and were met with disbelief about the problem. Finally, an assistant was sent to the room and he agreed that the room was untenable. Fortunately we had not unpacked and the move to another room was not that difficult. In the new room, the temperature was acceptable, but the safe would not work. Another trip to reception was again met with an attitude--"You just don’t know how to work it." We did--the safe could not be locked. In the rooms there was no information about Burgos, or for that matter, where the dining room was located in the hotel.
