Awesome Service!

Everyone was so great at this hotel. They had overbooked our type of room but gave us an exceptional upgrade as a result. The staff was wonderful and the rooms were very nice.

Great Hotel, Great Price

Hotel was great! The Hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgible about the area and at giving directions. Room was extremely tidy and very comfortable. The continental breakfast was very good. Fresh fruit, cereal, coffee (starbucks)as well as danishes, bagels, juices etc. This hotel is very close to the airport. But, I never heard any planes. Very quiet. Shopping and restraurants are within 5 miles. There are some fast food places and a Denny’s within two blocks. Would definitely stay there again.

Good experience some minor problems

Elegant, modern decor, very friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient and fast service to airport. 2 of 4 nights the cleaning staff failed to provide clean glasses and coffeecups in the room. The hotel provided a partial complimentary breakfast Cereal, toast and fruit) and a mini restaurant where you could buy a few egg dishes. There were not many choices for health conscious guests.(ie all cereals were comercial with no fiber).

It was a great hotel, couldn’t ask for anything more! If you get a chance to get this at a good rate, take it. It felt like a vacation. I even wanted to delay my business plans so I could stay an extra day!

Very nice at reasonable price.

Clean, spacious. Real close to airport and did not hear plane noise. Large flatscreen is nice plus. The included "continental" breakfast was great. Good, unlimited selection of cold foods & juices; fresh fruits. Only minus: bathroom counter area and the closet was small. But that is OK for a short stay for two adults. A family having a longer stay would probably find these areas cramped.

Slept next to all night party

Stayed at hotel for one night with husband and two toddlers. At 11:00pm my husband and I woke up to what was the beginnin of an all night party. We could hear kids constantly going in and out of their room, arguing, yelling, laughter, and T.V. blasting. We called the front and complained. Still no change. We called again at 3:30pm to complain and were informed that the police had been called. We could hear the police arrive around 5:30pm with confrontation. We were welcomed by vomit outside our room, and walking down at breakfast, I found out that around 20 people in the room next to us. Waiting to complain to the manager, she informed be that she will inform the general manager and will be receiving some kind of compensation or free night. It has been over a month and have not received nothing. I left two messages for the same manager I had talked to last week and have not received word. I will continue to call. Extremely bad customer service!!

This was our first stop of a 3 day road trip in the middle of a very hot summer. Temps outside were high 90s to 100s, so it was a welcome relief to get in. The kids went straight to the pool. Everything about our stay: the room, surroundings, staff, facilities, breakfast, etc were excellent. Highly recommended.

Customer Service

Customer service is a big deal for me. The only way I might recommend this hotel is if the staff provided better customer service. Front desk guy was no very welcoming and showed no willingness to help and answer questions. No greeting, no smiling. When I called about safe key, he had no answer and provided no resolution. When I called about no hot water coming through, he said to let water run for a couple of minutes for it to get hot. I let it run for almost 10 mins. and still no hot, or even warm water came through. The tub did not drain well. I stood in a tub of water while showering that was almost 3" high. The closet is right beside and very close to the sink, which hindered (easy) access to the closet fully. What did I like? Well, I did like the design of the rooms (it was cozy looking), the flat screen, the extra sink, and couch. My experience could have been better if not for the tub and hot water issue, and the unwelcoming attitude of the front desk staff.

Great jumping off point!

We wanted to visit a few scattered locations in southern Arizona and decided to stay at the Hyatt Place because they offered a high level of amenities at a reasonable rate. We were pleasantly surprised by the size, layout and cleanliness of our room. Everything worked just the way it was supposed to. The staff was courteous and attentive. And for our purposes, the location was perfect. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to even the fussiest of my friends and relatives.

Perfect for our needs

The staff was most friendly, the breakfast was plentiful, and the rooms are good sized. Really liked the big TV in the room. Did not like how noisy the air conditioning was at night but this hotel is clean, inexpensive, and we’d go back again.

Nice hotel, 4 star value for a 3 star price

Pros: close to the airport, big rooms, nice lobby, new-looking furniture, very nice HDTV. Cons: had a problem with the plumbing and the television... no way to know if these were just the usual problems common to all hotels, or if this is poor maintenance in this place. My friend in a different room had no problems.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

The Pima Air and Space museum has some great airplanes if you’re interested in that sort of thing. Some of the best ones are indoors, so you don’t have to worry about the desert heat.

Well worth it

Hyatt Place Tucson is a unique, nice, new-ish place to stay near the airport. I stayed at 3 hotels during my visit (one cheaper than the Hyatt, another more expensive)...of the 3 I preferred the Hyatt.

Hyatt Place is a great place!

Would totally recommend this hotel for the budget minded wired traveler who doesn’t like to pay for extra stuff in the room. I especially liked large sectional couch so you didn’t have to sit in bed and watch tv!

Awesome!

The Hotel was perfect. We got too comfortable on the nice beds and watching the 42 in tv, so we didnt go out and eat, we ordered pizza. It was a refreshing stay, with great rooms and good breakfast.

New and Close to Airport

We were impressed by the ease of using the electronics in the room for IPod and computer. Very small bathroom and closet so long term stay would be difficult. Great for business traveler or short term transition stay.

Try the Cushing Street Restaurant for a simple but elegant dining experience. Very good food and friendly people.

Nice, Average Nice

The hotel is lovely, rooms nice, but something felt funny.... the employees or something... like there were internal problems or they were not quite happy to be there. I don’t know what it was. Maybe my hormones. Anyway, mostly the hotel is very nice.

Cozy and Comfortable...

Nice hotel. Comfortable and clean (although the carpets in the room could use some shampooing or replacing). We did arrive to find one of the bedspreads in our room stained, but when we called the front desk they sent someone up immediately to change the linens. The staff was courteous and responsive. The food was actually pretty good (better than most ’free breakfast’ hotels). The lobby is a great draw! Comfortable and cozy with lots of secluded areas to have a business meeting over coffee or lounge with the family. The kids enjoyed the pool (yes, it was heated!) and the food kiosk in the lobby is a great option for a quick and easy bite. The ’Wine Bar’ was not quite what I expected, but if you want to unwind in the evening with a drink it’s fine - just don’t expect a large selection of fine wines. Overall, an enjoyable trip and I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is nice and close to the Stadium if you go to see college football. Ask at the front desk and they will give you a nice map of the Tucson area and highlight how to get where you are going. Very helpful!
