Great Location

The most inconvenient thing are the stairs from the parking garage to the Main Lobby...difficult if you have luggage. Overall, its what I’ve come to expect from the Hyatt, nice, clean and comfortable

Great location.

We were there for the 4th of July @ the Jax Landing. At check-in, we waited in the longest line I have ever seen @ a hotel. Requested a Riverview Room, but couldn’t get one; they were overbooked & some people were being moved to other hotels. Hotel is beautiful. Friendly & professional staff. Didn’t get much sleep because of plumbers banging on the pipes from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. Someone had flushed a t-shirt & the plumbing was clogged on 5 floors. They comped our parking fee for the inconvenience.

Not impressed

1) For the amount they charge the service was poor. the concierge provided incorrect information and seemed to push cab service (would not recommend!). Visiting the visitors center I aquired a wealth of information regarding Jacksonville and affordable transportation to various attractions. Public transportation to Jax Beach $1 in comparasion to $80 cab ride to JAX beach! 2) Requested towels and an hour later had to call again for service.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Not much to do downtown Jacksonville but for a $1 bus ride you can visit Jax beach which is a clean beach until 5:00pm (open to dogs). Friday nights (9:00pm) they have outdoor movie nights next to the beach for free.

Better than expected.

My friend and I just finished our stay at this Hyatt over the 4th of July weekend and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. We shared a 2 queen room. The room was really clean. It was also larger then I anticipated. The linens were very comfortable. The only downfall were the way the room felt kind of moist. Maybe it was the humidity since it was middle of summer, but with the A/C blasting, the moistness went away. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Also, the hotel had easy access to almost everything (beach, freeway, shopping). I would definitely stay here again.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

About 15 minutes north is the Budweiser plant that offers FREE tours. It’s not too long and in the end you get 2 FREE beers to try out.

Enjoyed stay

Stayed there for a weekend getaway. Nice hotel and amenities. The staff during my husband and I stay were very courteous. Will stay again!

Great Hotel

Loved the Hotel, good food, great location. Only down side was that the room air conditioner wouldn’t go below 73. Short walk to downtown Riverwalk area. Lot’s to see and do.

Wide Open Spaces

Very clean hotel with lots of room, nice little amenities, such as nice shower soaps, well-laid out gym, okay pool. The lay out is a little odd and not at first welcoming, but the service makes up for it. The crew there were happy to help us find good restaurants and things to do. Without them, other than seeing the Players Championship, I have no idea that we would have found anything to do in Jacksonville that was all that much fun. Well done crew.

Go to Bistro Aix or X. They’ll tell you. Very reasonable, short taxi ride, great food.

would not stay anywhere else!

I travel every week for business and have to say this hotel is at the top of my list, period! Great facilty top to bottom, the fitness room was excellent and had a great view unlike so many others. The bar and restaruant were beyond excelent as were the freindly and helpful staff. the wirelss worked, the room did not smell like smoke and it was walking distance to plenty of things to do.

Everything was perfect!

We were very pleased with our stay. The hotel was very clean, the staff was very professional and our stay was perfect. The view of the river was breathtaking!

Tourists should go to St. Augustine for an informative and fun side trip! We ahd a blast on one of the tours, and the jail was the BEST!

OK for one night

We picked this hotel mainly following the advice from fellow travellers on the Expedia website. The hotel delivers on two items - a spectacular view of the river and the friendlyness of the staff. The following items disappointed us: a) we found a half empty water bottle and gum beside one of the beds, b) the rooms have been redecorated but no flat screen TV and the bathrooms were not modernized, c) the Landings area is not as inviting as we thought it would be

The Landings area promises more than it delivers. The culinary alternatives are limited. The walk on the boardwalk is very nice.

Would stay here again.

The hotel was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful and the facility very clean and well maintained. The location was great for our purposes--we were in town for a Jaguars football game and the hotel was just a short walk to the stadium. It also was located right next to Jacksonville Landing with restaurants, bars, entertainment, etc. We only ate at the hotel once--breakfast in the lobby restaurant, but it was quite good although a bit pricey. It I were to return to Jacksonville, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Jacksonville Landing is just one block away from the hotel. A couple of good places to hang out--a country/western place called Mavericks, and a martini bar whose name escapes me right now, but a fun place none the less.

Awesome view, great location

I was down in Jacksonville and stayed at this hotel for the weekend for the Steelers game. The staff were incredibly nice. However, the prices at the hotel were very steep. They hide some fees on the alcohol. I think to sit at a pool with a tip and everything included the beer was almost 6.00 a piece. The steakhouse was very nice, however you had to pay for each side dish. We left and went to the Landing where you had 2 side dishes and your steak for the price of the steak alone at the hotel. Very very nice hotel. But to eat and drink there very very expensive!

Great place to stay for a football game

I was in Jacksonville for the Steelers/Jaguars game and the Hyatt was very close to the stadium. The hotel was very comfortable throughout and the staff were all exceptionally helpful. The room itself was very nicely finished and quiet with a great view of the St. Johns River. I especially appreciated the ipod dock by the bed.

The shuttle service to the airport is much cheaper if there are other passengers going as well- I went alone and had to pay full price.

Great hotel

For a mid-range hotel...this place has it all. Great rooms, staff, good views from most rooms, etc. In Jacksonville, it will be hard to find someplace better.

Loved it! I like the view of the water way

I loved everything about my room except the toilet didn’t want to flush all the time. I had to remove the top and make it flush other than that the view was perfect and the room was very comfty.

disappointed at pool closure

We booked this hotel so we could enjoy the rooftop pool, but it was closed due to "storms in the area" although they closed it all weekend and the storm was long gone. We were somewhat ignored in the hotels’ main reataurant for a while, but it was Sunday night, so maybe the "A Team" wasn’t on duty. Other than that we had fun and enjoyed our stay.

It is a great hotel location right on the St. Johns River and the people are very friendly. Yuo can walk the riverfront to several nightlife locations and hear live music, or catch a cab to other downtown spots.

The room was very large which was a plus, but no microwave/refrigerator. The restaurant inside the hotel was over price with nasty over cooked food.

Great Location for weekend

The hotel is located on the river and the view from the river is great. Centrally located downtown, the hotel offers easy acess to center city venues.

Great Hotel

My wife and I really did enjoy our stay in Jacksonville at the Hyatt. The staff is very professional and courteous. We had one minor problem with our shower drain but that was taken care very quickly.

If you stay at the Hyatt your only dining options are in the hotel or Jacksonville Landing. You will not find any resturants in the area surrounging the hotel.

Missed breakfast!

We were suppose to receive a free breakfast both days, but the hotel never told us about it! We saw the notation on the itinerary once we got home. I think the hotel should of told us when we checked in and told how to get this free breakfast. We had to go outside the hotel for breakfast both mornings! Not happy to find this out once our trip was over! We also had issues with the room card not working in the parking garage! Not cool!

Hotel was mediocre and parking was ridiculous. Front counter was not helpful getting us the room we requested.

Great location, close to everything especially the landing!

We had a beautiful view of the river landing and the bridges from our view, it was wonderful. It was within 2 blocks of the landing, so we could walk there from our hotel. The staff were very gracious and helpful with any need. Would definately stay there again.

We went to Jacksonville for the first time and were traveling to see an international rugby game. The entire trip was just wonderful but too short, should have stayed longer.
