it’s okay
Uh oh... the 70’s called! They want their decor back! Especially the red countertops! oh well. This hotel is truly affordable for Telluride. Bring your own pillow, thiers are kind of flat. But the location is great and parking is free, a must in this nickel and dime ya kind of town. Great ice machine! bring a cooler to keep water in. If you want a "view" get the river side, which is not much of a view, but better than looking at the side of another building.

Major construction next door was a problem and morning construction noise spoiled the stay Should not have been charged full rate.

Great place... if you can find it.
The room and atmosphere was great. I liked being right there on the river. It was a beautiful scene to wake up to and hear the rush of the Uncompaghre right outside our door. We were walking distance of downtown and that was nice too. We would definitely go back.
Traveler's tip
It’s not like a hotel to where people are there all the time. If you’re there after 5, they leave you a key in a lockbox. No problem if you can find the signage. We arrived at night. After we realized that Colorado Ave. was "Main Street" we wandered around for an hour looking for the office. The Mountainside Inn sign is on the building, not very big or well lit. You almost want to ignore the ?Alpine Mountian Lodging sign on the ground, but that is the correct building.
