good overall

Good hotel, good location. Only problem was inability of staff to help control the A/C unit which seemed to have a mind of its own. Hotel staff should know how to operate their own systems.

Extremely affordable, great location and very comfortable!

We stayed in one of the executive rooms at a discounted rate for our trip and we were extremely pleased with the quality of the room, the location, and the overall design. The room was very modern and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only negative was that we tried to stay an extra night and they were completely booked out!

Very warm and friendly attention. Very good breakfast for a very reasonable price. They just built a whole new section with new rooms which are very comfortables,nice! The location is not the best, but the hotel is located very near a subway station, which can take you fast and comfortably to almost any location in Vienna

More like 2 stars with a plus

This hotel reminded me of a cheap place we used to stay in Paris, small room, just beds, a tv and a place to shower... nothing more, where they got their 4 stars is a mystery, the Wifi was only ’supposed to work at the lobby’ but not working properly, the staff was friendly but had no idea what to do about it. the price was okay, but don’t expect anything fancy

Hotel is totaly ok!

This is a cool hotel that is situated as a part of Lugner shoping mall (so, lots of shops in just few meters) and also it’s 50 meters far from Standhalle arena, which is great if you visit Vienna, for example, for some concerts in that place. It’s around 10-15 minutes walk from center (you can take a bus near by also).

Homey & convenient

This was one of the cutest places we’ve stayed in Europe. The room was sufficiently roomy and very homey with a loft style. It’s colocated to the mall, and a block and a half from the metro. Would definitely recommend. The only downside was the lack of available diverse restaurants - but it could be we didn’t venture around enough in the immediate vicinity.

Great if you’re a budget traveler...

The Atlantis is a nice, little hotel with easy access to the train system. My room was right off the restaurant (not kidding!), so I heard everything happening in the kitchen since very early in the day. And there is only breakfast... No lunch. No dinner.

Don’t bother looking for worthwhile places around the hotel, and don’t bother with the adjacent mall -- not very good.

Well, in a centerly place with this price tag in a place like Vienna cant complain. 2 mins from the West trainstation. Nice I would say.

Nothing lavish but comfortable and great rate

While this hotel is not located in the best location (near the stephensplatz/downtown district) the hotel is about a 2 minute walk to the metro and tram. The hotel offers limited services, but the rooms have air-conditioning units and minibars. The rooms do not offer complimentary internet but there is a free computer workstation with internet in the lobby. There was considerable construction taking place on one wing of the hotel, which, strangly, is located at a separate location. Ask the Hotel Reception to give you a room in the main building and bring your own toiletries for the hotel does not provide any in the rooms.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Buy a 24hour transit pass for less than 6 Euros and save a ton of money if you’re planning on using the metro trams and buses in Vienna. The pass pays for itself if you use the transit system three times.

Great Hotel with Good Access

Although a little hard to find when we first arrived, this was a great hotel. Comfortable for European hotels, easy access to bus and underground to city center and airport. If you want to avoid the expensive breakfast, the coffee cafe across the street is quaint and inexpensive.

Good choice for pleasant stay

It is nice hotel with two buildings. I was staying in new one which was very comfortable. Clean and quite room. The only problem that the street was on reconstruction and it was a little dirty around there, but I think it is temporary issue.

Good hotel for vacationers on a mini-budget!

My family of 3 stayed at this hotel in July 2008. We had two days in Vienna en route to Slovenia to see family. Since I was booking rather late, I was thrilled to find a place that could accomodate our needs: reasonable price, A/C, three beds, and non-smoking! We had a late flight in, and took a cab from the airport (very expensive!!). Reception was very easy and the front desk attendents were always helpful. Our room was small, but that was expected because its Europe. Everything was clean and nice, and we had a rear room which was nice and quiet. We decided not to take them up on the breakfast, which was 18 Euros per person, really high I thought! We instead availed ourselves of the grocery store in the mall next door...just remember to carry Euros on you, they don’t accept Visa/Mastercard credit cards! The metro stop is only a short block away, and the public transportation system in Vienna is amazing! There is also free usage of their lobby computer with internet. And a storage room to lock up your luggage if you want to explore the city some more after you check out. I found the whole experience perfect for our needs, and if you just want a nice place to stay that is clean and comfortable, this is a good place to stay!

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Shop at the local grocery stores for food for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Have plenty of Euros on you, as most don’t take the "normal" credit cards, ie: Visa/Mastercard. You can get a great meal (and wine!) for a decent price, allowing you to splurge on a fabulous dessert somewhere in the city!

Very helpful staff and good location

Hotel was clean and a good value for the money. The staff was very helpful too. We had a triple room and it was spacious. The hotel is conveniently located near a huge shopping mall and only a 2 minute walk to a subway station. I would stay here on my next visit to Vienna.

If breakfast is not included with your room, there is a bakery in the shopping center next door that has a good breakfast for next to nothing.

It’s Fine

The hotel was nice and clean inside and the desk clerks were very helpful, especially the night man. I was able to call when I was lost and get directions back to the hotel:) My only dissatisfaction with the hotel was breakfast. I have never stayed at a 3 or 4 star hotel that charged for breakfast, not to mention it was 13 Euros. For the price of the room breakfast is a must, at least a buffet. I will consider this hotel in the future but I can’t guarantee I will stay there again. I mean after all when someone will guide you at 1 in the morning they deserve some props:)

Not bad at all.

This hotel does not have a bad location at all. Stayed here for 7 nights, as my base to visit Vienna, and other cities in Austria. One advantage for me was the proximity to the train station (Westbanhof) being only about two blocks away. Also getting to hotel was not hard when we arrived at Sudbanhof from Prague. From there took tram 18 which takes you to the Burggasse Stadthalle metro station, just 1 block away from hotel. At reception check in was fast and staff was very helpful. Room was adequate, clean, and so was bathroom. Bring your own washcloth. The a/c unit was kind of old and weak but since it was cool at night, it was not a big deal. The only thing I did not like was the fact that the breakfast was not included in price, and found it very expensive. Instead took advantage of the Lugner City mall, next to hotel where a supermarket, restaurants, and several cafes were available. Since room has mini fridge, we stored stuff from supermarket there. As far as the neighborhood goes, found it safe, even at night. There is always movement of people in and out of metro and in mall. Walk to metro was a piece of cake. There were gypsies taking turns begging at metro stairs but they were harmless. There are a lot of Turkish immigrants in this neighborhood and Vienna in general, everywhere you can find their food joints, but they are very respectful and nice. Overall this hotel is not a bad choice if you are in a budget like me in an expensive city like Vienna.

Very Nice Hotel

We stayed in Vienna for 3 days for sightseeing and were extremely impressed with hotel considering the price was fairly inexpensive. You have to take the metro to any attraction, none are really within walking distance of the hotel, but hotel is only about a block from the metro station, easy access to almost any attraction from the metro. Room was very clean. We stayed in the newer wing and appeared that rooms were new. Would definately recommend this hotel.

Don’t miss the Schonbrunn Palace, it was incredible.

Great Location

I stayed in a new wing of the hotel, so it was bright and clean, organized with typical spartan Austrian style. The web connection did not work in the room, but I could get wireless in the hotel lobby. The hotel is located a short walk from a Vienna subway stop (one stop from the West Train Station) and it abuts the Lueger Center -- an urban shopping center with many different types of restaurants. The price was great, so the room was excellent value.

Close to metro stop but not much else

This hotel has two sections which are not connected. We stayed in the newer portion that is down the block from the main hotel but does not have its own lobby. The hotel felt very secure in that access was only available if you had a room key (plastic card). The rooms themselves were very clean, had nice linens and were quite nice. A continental breakfast was available downstairs which was simple but inexpensive at about 4 euros. A larger breakfast was available in the main hotel. The hotel is only one block from a metro stop and tram stop which is convenient. However, we found that there was little of interest nearby - no restaurants, shops, etc. Overall we thought it was a good value for the money.

Agood hotel to stay

Ihad booked this hotel thru Expedia to stay for 3 nights... I found the hotel to be very clean and it was very comfortable to stay there . The staff was very frioendly and helpful.I suggest they change the Romm TV and provide more interesting programs. I would recommend people to stay there.
