Airport?? Not really.
We stayed here based on other reviews that stated that it was in a great location. I couldn’t have been more disappointed with this aspect. It is located in an industrial area with no food or shopping within walking distance. Trying to get to this Hotel from the Stuttgart Hfb is a MAJOR ordeal involving multiple trains, buses, and even taxis. This Hotel is in a location with poor access. You will not direct access to U-Bahn trains to get to it and to the airport. Also, their airport shuttle has limited hours on the weekends and at night (this was a surpise to us). Prepare to spend your cash on Taxi fares.
If you have a rental car, then this place would be a viable option. Otherwise, don’t even think about it.

No soap; no break on rate
The hotel had no bar soap in my room. They failed to get their shipment. As instructed I used the liquid shower gel and it was ok. Also the Expedia rate was identical to the rate a colleague obtained by going directly to hotel. But the hotel is new and nice.

Great Stuttgart Hotel
We stayed two nights with our two children and were very happy with the hotel. It has a quick shuttle to the airport that leaves every half-hour and from the airport we were able to easily travel into Stuttgart. Pros: Modern, clean, competitive rates. Cons: Location is significantly outside of Stuttgart.
We had a great time walking through The Königplatz shopping area with our kids. It’s across from the main train station and connects to the Marktplatz which has a four-story toy store (Spielwaren Kurtz) that our young son can’t wait to visit again!

Lovely hotel
Beautiful modern decor. The staff was excellent. The shuttle service worked well for our group.

Overrated Overpriced and Overexaggerated
This hotel should not classify itself as a "convenient airport hotel". It may be only 1.5 Km from the airport but by road it is nearer to 7Km. The free shuttle only runs once per hour and only between 8am and 9pm. I had to use the Taxi which cost nearly 11 euros each time and made the taxi driver upset because it was such a "small" fare. The restaurant closed early, and the hotel is in an industrial park so there are no alternatives. The breakfast is 15 euros and not included in the room rate. The breakfast is not great and 5 euros would be too much. Next time in Stuttgart, I will stay at the Moevenpick. It is right on the airport, and has a really nice restaurant open till midnight. You can walk into the airport and catch the S Bahn to anywhere in Stuttgart, so anywhere in Germany on Die Bahn network. I had to use the Moevenpick to eat because at 9 pm there was no shuttle to the Mercure and the restaurant there had already closed. Never again at the Mercure.
