Will never go back!
When we arrived at the hotel, we were met by a set of narrow steps that lead to the reception (no elevators and very very narrow walkways) , and were greeted by a strong, unpleasant smell of food. I was a bit worried about what the room would look like so we asked to see the room first - the receptionist didn’t seem too happy about this but agreed to let us have a look. The room was on the 2nd floor, up a narrow, winding, staircase (which you have to lug your bags up yourself of course) and to open a secondary door to enter the 2nd floor, which incidentally blocked the door to our room. We had to squeeze around it one by one, just to be in front of the room door so we can open it. Once we opened the door to our room, we were greeted by another stench that is indescribable - and a room that was smaller than a small walk-in closet. We are students and not expecting luxury but we were unable to even stand in the room for more than a minute. The bedding was beyond shabby and the room was cramped with low ceilings - all in all a terrible shock. We went back down to the receptionist to explain that we were going to stay somewhere else, and we ended up having to pay the first night ... which is not ideal because we didn’t exactly come to spend so much money, but it was worth it to stay in something more comfortable and clean for just a little more money.

Hotel not fit for any kind of Saint.
When phoning for directions late at night when I got there they were very short with me. The hotel is not in the best area and it’s wise not to go out at night alone. Or at all. Great grocery store across the street though. The room did not have a window but instead a thermo/fan/thing and was boarded around the edge with god knows what! This meant it was very noisy from the street outside. It also meant there was no natural light whatsoever. The bathroom was dirty also. Would never go back and wont recommend to anyone else.

Not impressed
The hotel was noisy, they didn’t clean it for 3 days when I was there. Could not sleep at night. Would not recommend.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Its in the middle of Montreal downtown. There’s a lot to see and visit. There are clubs, movie theaters, lots of cuisines, shopping malls all within a mile. Great Place!
