A verry good hotel

The bed was really good. It is close to the area we were interested in . younger people that want the party life it is a cab ride to the harbor

Most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in!

This hotel is right by Chinatown, it has a great little cafe where you can get your "brekky’ and their coffee is delishious! Fruit is very fresh too. The hotel bed was the highlight of my trip! I felt like I was sleeping in a cloud. It was sooooooo comfortable! From the pillows, to the covers, to the mattress. This hotel is a little pricy but if you are big of spening money on a comfortable bed, this is the place for you!

Not terrible; Not great.

In a nutshell: Aging facility with an inexperienced/strained staff. However, it’s still a fairly nice experience and the location is very handy.

Caution

Rydges in Sydney was very well maintained and rooms were very nice. I have also recently stayed at Rydges in Cairns Australia and Auckland New Zealand and was not as pleased with those locations as I was with Rydges in Sydney. The primary compliant at the other locations was the daily cleanliness of the rooms was pathetic at best. They need to get some training from there Sydney location as there other location need serious help.

Good Location

The Hotel was in a great location for seeing Sydney. The only issue we had with the hotel was that it did not include a breakfast of any kind with your stay like we are used to. Otherwise we were happy with the room, the staff, and the service. The concierge service was exceptional.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Make sure to get a Sydney Pass while you are there. Makes getting around the city much easier and having constant access to the Bondi Explorer, Sydney Explorer, and the Ferries was great for the 7 day pass we bought.

Will definitely stay there next time when I’m in town

Very closely and conveniently located to absolut everything that Sydney has to offer. Within walking distance from everything...and even more through buses and ferries.

Very nice

This hotel (at least the internet deal) was less expensive than several lower-star ratings I looked at online. It borders crowded streets of Chinatown, which seemed to have lots of bars so we saw some inebriated people on the streets a bit at night, but we walked around in the evening with our children and felt very safe. The room itself was very quiet and wonderfully comfortable.

A Great Stay in a Busy square

The hotel was excellent. Service was great and though i stayed for an entire week i was most happy with the hotel. There are only two areas i like to recommend is to improve the room service menu and to have body lotion as part of the set toiletries.The location is just super convenient to everything....

Great location, right in downtown, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Taxi ride to many local attractions.

Get the executive club upgrade which includes breakfast and drinks/appetizers daily.

Excellent Place To Stay In Sydney

Great value for the price. The hotel is centrally located and is within walking distance of restaurants, shops, Darling Harbor, Sydney Harbor and The Sydney Opera House. The concierge staff is very helpful and is extremely knowledgeable of the city and will provide information on transportation, attractions and places of interest in and around the city. Would not recommend the hotel restaurant as it was overpriced for the type of foods served. High speed internet is avaiable in the rooms and if the lines are down guest can receive free 15 - 30 minutes use of the hotel’s wi-fi to send and receive emails.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

High speed internet is avaiable in the rooms and guests receive an instant 50% discount by simply filling out a free "priority guest" application. On arrival at the Sydney Airport purchase a return ticket to and from the hotel from one of the minibus operators. The minibus operators are quite reliable as taxi’s are very costly.

Excellent hotel in the middle of Sydney

Rydges World Square is in the heart of Sydney with easy access to all of the city. The train station is a short walk from the hotel, and shopping is right below it. The only complaint is that I had to ask for extra towels every day I was there even though they knew there were four of us there. A hotel at their level should be aware of those things.

Great hotel. Great Location

Great hotel! The dream beds are amazing. The location is great. The Darling Harbour monorail stop is right outside the doors. Only complaint about the room was there was no dresser to put clothes in, only a closet with 6 hangers. We had to use the window sill to store most of our stuff. Other than that, we loved it and would definitely stay again.

Sydney is a shopping mecca and the monorail stops at all the great shopping areas.

Rydges World Square - Sydney

The location of this hotel was fabulous. It was just a ten minute walk or so right to the Sydney Harbor. The hotel was clean with a superb staff. There was nothing more that I could have expected of the hotel, and I have no reservations about recommending it as a great place to stay if in Sydney for either business or pleasure.

Our stay was very nice. We were centrally located for all of our sightseeing and shopping. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Extraordinary Hotel!

We stayed at the Rydges World Square for 10 days this June. It is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at! The service is professional and helpful. The room was large and had one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on. We stayed on the Executive level floor so had excess to the executive room for complimentary breakfast and in the evening complimentary drinks and "nibbles". I would recommend staying on the Executive floor if you can.The food was wonderful and you save money you can use for tours, shopping, etc. The Rydges World Square is also very central. It’s only a half hour walk to Circular Quay and The Rocks and about a 15 minute to 20 minute walk to Darling Harbour. My husband and I would definatly stay there again!

I would recommend signing up for the behind the scenes Wild Australia Experience at the Taronga Zoo. A little pricey,(admission to the zoo is included), but totally worth it! Our zoo keeper guide gave us a detailed tour of the Australian animals. Highlights included going into the cages of a Bilby and a Enchinda and touring the zoo kitchens where the food for the animals is prepared.

It’s a good place to stay, as per *** star property.

Rydges World Square is excellent choice near Chinatown

We stayed only one night at Rydges World Square, Sydney, but were very impressed with the room, impeccably clean and a very helpful hotel staff, especially the Concierge who managed to locate a lost piece of luggage over the phone. There is a buffet breakfast each morning in the cafe, a bit pricey, but delicious. You can’t argue that the location is excellent, right at the edge of Chinatown, and in a great shopping district. The monorail station is a block away and there are some great choices of Asian food all around the area. This is essentially a business class hotel, and in that respect is first class all the way. If you prefer staying in or near Chinatown, consider Rydges World Square.

Rydges World Square is within easy walking distance of Darling Harbour, which has an excellent food court; and you are very close to some of Sydney’s famous downtown attractions: Hyde Park, Queen Victoria Centre, The Strand, Monorail Station and Sydney Tower.

Great Hotel in a Greater Location

The location is central to everything we wanted to see in our 3 day visit to Sydney. The mono Rail station was in the same building as our hotel for an overhead tour of downtown. It was only 4 blocks to the aquarium, chinese gardens, jetboat rides and water taxis. It is 2 blocks from the hop on hop off bus stop. We were treated very well by the staff and we would stay there again if we ever have the chance to return to Sydney.

Don’t miss the Jet Boat Tour it is a ride to remember. I have never seen an aquarium to rival the one in Sydney.

Great time in Sydney

Decent hotel. But did have stains on carpets. Otherwise very clean. Have separate shower and tub.

Cab is about AU$40 to hotel. Laundry on 12th floor. Supermarket and lot of stores downstairs of hotel. Monorail around the corner. Central station about 5 blocks -very walkable with 6yr & 8yr.

OK Hotel - not like the four stars in US

Location was good and room was OK. Nothing like four stars in USA. The hotel cliam thay are four star. I wonder on what basis? Over all it was OK

Hotel is not far from shopping and dinning areas and two blocks from Darling Harbor.
