Soundproofing
I found the soundproofing of the hotel to be less than desired. I could hear guests across the hall talking in their room with the door closed.

Great location
Nice location next to the river. Beautuful view of sunset from the room balcony. Nicest hotel in or near Kamloops and the food in the fine dining resturant was very nice. In the morning some ducks and ducklings were making use of the riverfront in front of the hotel. Overall very pleasant experience.

Wont be going back...
First had a difficult time finding the hotel, gps couldnt even locate, we input an address nearby to get within a half mile. Gave us the wrong room (double when we had reservation for king), but they moved us without complaint. Limited dining choices, lounge or very expensive restaurant with only four entree selections all over $35. You would have to travel several miles to find other places to eat & most of those are fast food unless you go into town. Room was pleasant with comfortable bed & nice layout. We overlooked the river, but also the railroad tracks and the freeway. Other rooms faced the stables and driving range. Small pool and hot tub. We walked up and back on the main entry road (about a qtr mile, it resembles what I imagine for a horse ranch in Kentucky). There are stables, horses, and llamas in the paddocks and we admired those, but otherwise, there wasnt anything else to do. Our television didnt get a signal, so we called to the front desk to find out how to correct. The clerk gave a few push this, turn this off & on, but to no avail. Said he would be up in less than 10 minutes, and after no one came for 70 minutes we went to bed as we were planning an early start.
Traveler's tip
I wouldnt pay the expense to stay at this hotel, for the price of the accomodation and the inconvenience of no dinig or activities nearby. My suggestion would be to drive north to the Sun Peaks resort area for luxury accomodations, beautiful scenery, and a mountain of activites for the amount of money.
