Roma Hotel - great value for money
Rooms are VERY small but that is pretty much the only problem with this hotel. Other than that it is a great choice if your budget is tight. Very good service, clean and, most important - extremely good location - minutes walk from Montmarter and virtually sitting on a Metro station. Overall - great value for money and highly recommended for its price.

Not recommended, 5 reasons why
I have stayed at 5 European hotels over 3 years, so I know the typical style of Euro hotels. As for this Hotel Roma, please DO NOT stay here: (1) Noisy, walls are paper thin, all doors bang shut - waking you at night. (2) Noisy - clubs and loud bars down next to hotel (3) Bathroom - leaks (4) Amenities - almost none, more for "student" traveler. (5) Bad condition - bad paint job, ugly fixtures, bad upkeep.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
PLEASE stay at another 2 or 3 star hotel. There are many near any number of Metro stations.

Adequate place in pricy Paris
Literally up the hill from the Metro, so beware large luggage with all of the stairs. They would not let us check in early though we could leave our bags in the lobby. The inside was a little scary but first, with stained Astroturf carpet in the halls, but our room was surprisingly charming and full of color. We had very Parisian windows with shutters that opened to overlook the street. The bathroom was nicely sized, but the shower had a missing glass section so water got everywhere. Breakfast is not included in the price.
Traveler's tip on dining
Dont buy the hotel breakfast. Walk to any patisserie instead for a cheap but excellent meal.
