Great Hotel, Great Team
We spent a week at the hotel in July with 11 other family members and had a great experience. The place is very quiet, with not a lot of activities, but the pool was great, the swim-up bar was great and it was exceptionally relaxing. You can head to the sister beach resort or walk to the marina without a problem, which we did a few times. All in all, it was a great trip and a great hotel.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Don’t bother getting the "round trip" transportation that Expedia offers. The hotel is 5 minutes away from the airport and they will send a van for you. Email or call in advance and they will get you on the VIP list. When going through the airport, find the VIP people right after customs and then don’t talk to another soul... they will all try to suck you in, but not necessary.

We felt like celebrities......
beautiful hotel, amazing amenities, and first class dining.....Because of the recent swine flu scare we had the entire hotel almost to ourselves. The staff was amazingingly attentive and friendly, the spa was excellent, and rooms were beautiful. If you want a relaxing experience with five star dining-highly recommend.

We are booking again in November!!
This was a great place to stay. Ver quiet no kids!! If you are booking this place for the first time. Don’t hesitate! all of the staff, and all of the accommadations were wonderful. We are going back in November.
Traveler's tip
airport, watch out for all the guys that try to get you to take them to your hotel, Find the Expedia transportation people if that is what you booked for transpo to Casa Velas and let them help you. They were great as well!!
