Horrible place, 1 star; consider all other options before this
**AVOID** Overall, not a very good value after you add in the shuttle cost to get to the hotel, then taxi back to the airport. You’re seriously better off paying 35% more for a nicer place with a free airport shuttle, b/c that’s what it’ll cost you extra. You can try and walk, but it’s not convenient as the narrow/windy access road has no sidewalk; about 1.2 miles if you decide to walk. SHUTTLE: Not free, picks up from the French side; 3 minute ride on 1 road to the hotel and it was rather expensive. Taxi back was twice as much. STAFF: Nice, very average. ROOM: old, stains on the carpet, dust and spiderwebs behind the bed. This was worst than some of the 1 stars in Vietnam. INTERNET: cost a lot. LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: there’s literally nothing. We walked the center of town, about 1.5 miles one way and there was 1 restaurant open on a Monday night at 7pm, a great Italian place. There’s a cafe across the street from the restaurant. We checked everywhere and couldn’t find anything.

Book elsewhere with a free airport shuttle. Whatever the price is here, add in 35% extra for transportation to/from the airport.

Only if it was the last
The hotel was only for one night and I requested a non-smoking room. The only one that probably never smoked in the room was me. For the rest it was a basic hotel. The guy behind the reception was very friendly, but that could not outweigh the rest of the stay unfortunately.
