Not Impressed
Once you get past the hotel lobby it goes downhill from there. Features: lumpy, uncomfortable bed, balcony door that could not be locked properly, entrance door that looked as though it had been forced open and later repaired. However it appears that some rooms on the lower floors have been renovated. The Korean/ Chinese restaurant provides excellent service and good food.

A cheap but grey hotel of the old Intourist variety
Good things: Reasonable price. Nice view from the room of the Dniepr river and the islands and surrounding hills. Friendly staff speaking acceptable English. WiFi in the lobby for a 24 hour fee. Closer to the Borispol airport than the downtown hotels are. A couple of restaurants, a supermarket and some other stores just around the corner from the hotel. Not so good: The metro station was a bit distant (a 25 minute walk) but it is possible to take a bus there. The hotel did not have a currency exchange and their minibank (ATM) did not work (at least when I tried).

Room
The hotel is ok in general, not far frm the center but avoid the Economy room, unless you wanna feel like a KGB bad treated agent, or a patient under mental treatment. Choose the Standard/ renovated rooms. They are ok
