Better than expected
Desk personnal was extremely helpful. Room clean, in general hotel was clean & somewhat modern. My only complaint would be a minor one. (the soap & shampoo dispensers are pretty usless, they should use the small samples like other hotels.)
Traveler's tip on dining
The Swan Pub, & the Mitre Pub (both within a couple of blocks) were great places to eat.

Reads great on the internet
The hotel needs some TLC. It could be a great little get-a-way because of location but... our room was really small (Married to a Brit and still found this a small room). The restaurant very overpriced. The staff seemed very nice but didn’t need to use them. If given a coat of paint on the exterior of the building, it would improve the facade.

Great location for tourists!
Located 5 mins walk to Lancaster Gate, Bayswater, or Queensway Tube stations, and only 2 mins walk to the main road for buses to everywhere. Make sure that when you book. If you cannot afford to include hotel breakfast(which is a full,hearty buffet style),there is a local cafe just around the corner that serves the same,for a cheaper rate.Hoteliers know not to really use a hotel restaurant in the evenings, as it is quite expensive just for an average dinner. There are millions of places to eat in Queensway, about 5 mins walk, which include every culinary taste (they even have Kentucky Fried chicken, Subway, McDonaalds etc, if you miss home (which you wont!). Rooms are quite small, but clean, you can hack it. Staff are really friendly and helpful.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Buy an "Oyster" card for using buses and the tube, it saves you a lot of money (read up about them online under Public Transportation) you can purchase the tickets while still in USA. There is an American Office which can send them to you in 3-4 business days.
