Great Family Time

This hotel is a time share rental which was very nice. The rooms were very comfortable. There are picnic areas and barbeques available to guests and we spent a Sunday afternoon with family having a cookout. It was very relaxing. The occasion was a celebration of a 95th birthday and Great Grandma thoroughly enjoyed her time spent with her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. This hotel has a golf course and my room looked out on the course with the mountains in the background. Beautiful! I would definitely stay here again.

An Oasis in the Desert

We were very pleased with the location and size of our room; it had a full kitchen, living room, and dining room, and a balcony that overlooked the golf course. It was a great place to get away from it all; so much better than staying in a little hotel!

Try the Corktree restaurant about a mile away. Really innovative cuisine; somewhat pricey but not extremely expensive.

not impressed with single room

these are not villas, they are at best the same quality as a drive up motel. aside from that you may get more space in the one bedroom side of the unit but the units but the single side is way too small for comfort. they offered a kitchenette which is less than 2 feet from you pillow. the tv is in front of the bed but not viewable from the couch or other parts of the narrow 200sq ft room so it is very awquid and uncomfortable. the cleaning personnel left bags of her supplies around the grounds during the duration for her shitft from 8a to 5p which was very unsightly. overall not even worth the discounted rate i paid. I would have been more comfortable at a Best Western.

Pieces if gum stuck on the floor

The service was the worst I have experienced. The condition of the room was what you find in a 1 or 2 star motel. Chewing gum stuck on carpet, the sofa was the kind you find on the sidewalk. no cream or sugar for the morning coffee in the room, no hand towels. I asked for a late check out of 12 pm and they would not accomodate me. Most hotels usually give you a 1:00pm check out if you ask with no problem. The clerk made me wait 15 minutes while she went to ask her manager and then just a "sorry we cant" response. I would never stay here again.

Would definitely return!!

We really liked the Villas II. The room was large, spacious, and comfortable, and we had a great view of the golf course. The pool area for the Villas was very nice, large, and relaxing, especially with the restaurant on one end, and the Beverage stand on the other. We look forward to our next trip at the Villas. Would definitely stay there again, and enjoyed having the full kitchen to keep food in, and cook our own meals when we wanted to do so. Having the Washer/Dryer in the unit was great too. We were able to pack lighter, knowing we had that option.

Dreadful Service / Will not return

I requested an early check-in at time of booking the two-bedroom villa and I even confirmed with with the hotel for a 12noon check-in. We arrived at the hotel at 12.30. The second bedroom of our two-bedroom villa hadn’t been cleaned yet and I was told that the room would be ready within a half hour however we could still use the main part of the villa. After one hour, I called reception to check on the room and was told that it would be ready soon. Another hour and another call later, I was told that it would be ready by 4 since, as the hotel clerk told me, check-in is really at 4 so they have until 4. Nonetheless, the room was not ready until after 7 in the evening. This, after speaking to two other clerks during this time and even leaving a message for the hotel manager. The manager did return my call and his only explanation was that the hotel was busy. I was furious since I was with an elderly couple and besides had I been happy with only a one-bedroom villa, I would have booked a one-bedroom villa. Not to mention, that the evening was nearly gone by the time that the room was finally available. As I said, we were initially told upon check-in that the room would be ready within 30minutes and it wasn’t ready until nearly 7hours later. Although the villa and grounds are lovely, I would not stay here again nor would I recommend after my dreadful experience.

Great getaway

Nice area. Very quiet. Restaurants are a little spendy for average quality meals. On site market was very handy for snacks.

Really nice!

Minus the stains on some of the furniture (that were extremely gross) the decor of the room and the cleanliness of the grounds made it a beautiful stay. Also having 7 swimming pools, activities and the convenience of having two rooms (villa) made it a great place to stay.

Excellent facility

This villa was exceptional in every respect. And, the proximity to the pool and grill was wonderful.

Very nice, would definitly recommend and visit again.

Travelled with my two sons (12 & 14) and had a very nice stay. Great pool, nice workout area and basketball court. My kids felt safe and welcome (very important when with teens) around the hotel grounds. Didn’t even get to half of the facilities offered (golf, 6 other pools, activities offered).

Impressive luxury villa on a golf course

Very comfortable and private villa on golf course. We stayed in the most distant grouping of villas, so did take a brief car ride to get to the main recreation areas of the Villas, or to the Marriot Hotel.

A great place for an Anniversary

We went for our 1st anniversary. We stayed down stairs and had a beautiful view of the golf course, right outside our patio area. The pool wasn’t far. The only thing I would recommend, is that you bring your own breakfast stuff, drinks and snacks. You have a nook area and can make bagels and have a frig to put things in. They provide dish soap and sponge, and also dishes for 2. I did not know there wasn’t really any service, except they’ll bring you towels and make your bed. I would definitely stay here again. And it’s gated.

You can bring snacks and breakfast stuff (bagels, muffins, not eggs) and put it in your frig to eat later.

Satisfied

We decided to stay at the Marriott becuase we thought that the pool area would be nice for the kids. They only have a a wading pool which was dirty looking. Other than that the Room was nice and confy. Check in 4:00Pm is rather late and check out 10:00Am is late.

The Bar Bar-B-Que areas are great.

Great Retreat

Hotel Review: The villas are a part of Marriott’s vacation ownership resorts, and have a residential feel. Our deluxe guest room was a bit on the small side, but comfortable, clean, and came with a wonderful golf course view. The hotel’s web site lists some amenities that are not available in the smaller rooms, so be aware that the "deluxe" guest room refers to a much-abbreviated, studio-style format. For a stay of more than a few days, I would opt for a larger suite. The pool and exercise room were of ample size, and did not appear overly crowded during during our visit. Overall, a very enjoyable resort that I would certainly consider revisiting.

There are a few good dinner houses in the area, but there are no in-house restaurants the villas. For a nice change of pace, I would suggest visiting one of the many restaurants in downtown Palm Springs. I found a delightful sidewalk cafe on the boulevard where the food was surprisingly good- a great setting for watching the world go by over a glass of wine and a fine meal.

this hotel had an extremely helpful staff who dealt with all my requests swiftly and in a courteous manner.The room was cleaned daily to a high standard and the overall ambience was excellent.Lots of leisure areas including swimming and whirlpools and the golf course is all around you-what more can I say?

Great value and great amenities

The room was comfortable and having a kitchenette was great. The only complaint was that housekeeping could have been more careful in wiping spots on the bathroom door.

If you play tennis or golf make sure you bring your gear, and don’t forget your swim suit. There is a lap pool (not open while I was there) in addition to other pools within the resort.

Beautifully furnished, spacious 1200+ sq ft, top floor, one bedroom villa overlooking golf course and mtns. Convenient location for golf, tennis, shopping or eating.

Great value

The hotel room have clean bedding, that was important to me. The only problem was we didn’t know the check out time is 10am instead of the standard 11am, so around 10:15am we got maid outside kicking us out, but they are nice about letting us leave at 11am.

Palm Desert Experience

The hotel and grounds are lovely. Unfortunately because of occupancy we were put into a very small room, with a king bed and a fold out couch. There were 2 people staying in our party, not "bed mates" so we felt cramped. The hotel is situated away from shopping and entertainment areas so we had to drive to every place we went unless we wanted to shop and dine on the property, but the restaurants and shops were very pricey

There are great restaurants across the street and down the block from the hotel that are more reasonable in price with delicious food.

We go back, year after year!

The villas are very comfortable and well laid out. The full kitchen allows us to have healthy snacks and meals without dining out every meal! The last few years, we have stayed on the Jasmine Court side of the resort, less crowded and more quiet although the kids really enjoy all the action at the Palmeras pool.

Our kids enjoy The Living Desert, Knott’s Soak City water park, Boomers and shopping/dining at the River shopping center.
