Elegant and delicious
The rooms are very comfortable and the service is perfect. Don’t miss a chance to eat in the restaurant. Best tomato salad I’ve ever had. Ingredients are all fresh and local. Will come back again if I have the opportunity!

Great hotel in Eureka
I very much enjoyed my stay at the Carter House Inns. The hotel’s restaurant was out of this world, the hotel staff was friendly and accomodating, the room was quiet, and it was very nice. The bed was a bit bouncy, but that’s my only complaint.

Best place in Eureka
Too bad Eureka has so little to offer, we will probably never have reason to go back and enjoy the wonderful Hotel Carter again. A combination hotel and B&B, Hotel Carter topped our expectations. Our "very nice room" (its room type description) was very spacious, tastefully decorated, clean, with all the amenities to make you feel spoiled. In the comfortable and homey lobby, freshly baked cookies and tea are available each evening, and from 5PM to 6PM each day wine and appetizers are served. The included breakfast was not as inspired as the rest of the hotel’s offerings. The hotel’s restaurant is very high end and expensive, featuring a world class wine list. More casual and cheaper dining options are available within easy walking distance.
