Relaxing and scenic with palm trees and plants and flowers
Scared at first because of so much construction--new owners are making it a Hampton Inn. Asked to be shown our room and it was exactly like internet photo. We could hear no construction noise--did smell fumes from new carpet but only when in hallway. Loved the island look with palm trees and plants. The pool is lovely. This will be a wonderful place when completed. Would certainly go back.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The glass-bottom boat ride located in the nearby park and follow the recommendations for eateries offered by the hotel staff. Super leads!

under construction, what a mess
strong smell in hallways & room from carpet glue & paint. way to expensive, we stayed in suite in key west for half the price. to much noise from pool area all day & night. beach chairs were not available.
find a differnt place to stay just down the road

mid-range key largo
a lot of construction while we were there. also I think calling it a resort is a bit of hyperbole. rms. were nice in the fla. keys style go for the diving, the best coral reef in N. America
