A Very Good Choice
Appears to be a New Hotel- Great Location but not on the river. It is within a huge new and very nice mall with all you need. Two days there was about right. Great Hotel. Giant room. As with Hilton nothing is free. WiFi is ridiculous in price - don’t plan on using the web in the hotel unless you are on an expense account. A slight mix up on the breakfast being included. Fortunately it was clear on our receipt but it did take 5 minutes for the front desk to sort it out with management. A little embarrassing during check-in. I would not hesitate to stay here again and I highly recommend this hotel. The Marriott or Intercontinental are two others and are on the river, however there is no mall. The mall around the Hilton was great for shopping, has every kind of food, and was great for teenagers to have a tiny bit of freedom without being on the street. Hotel food prices were not too steep compared to other restraunts. I am a cheapo and ate in the mall most of the time.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
If you ride the rail, go to information booth first and research. The ticket sales people will not give you the best price without you being extrememly specfic. For local transportaion, buy the two or three day Budapest Card (or whatever you call it) get out and see things. Get over to the BUDA side of the river for a great view of PEST. best price unless you tell them specifically.
