Wonderful View
We booked a room overlooking the Falls and it was fantastic! The rooms are on the small side but the bed was very comfortable and the room was newly updated so it was nice and clean. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly.

Fallsview is way to go
I know the fallsview costs more but we felt it was worth it. This hotel was unique and Im glad we picked it. Was lacking a pool and fitness area but for our va this was not a problem.

Would never stay here again
If you are looking for a great view of the falls, that is all you are going to get from this hotel. There is no room service available. There is no restaurant for breakfast. The carpeting in the room was filthy. Shower was very small. The safe in the room was not working. The TV went out (although, the maintenance person fixed it). The bed made feel "buggy". Glad we only spent 2 nights here.

Great View of the Falls
I cant say we got any great bargain at this hotel, the Falls View room was pricey. The carpeting in the room was stained and shabby. Although it had a small refrigerator, it wasnt very cold and needed defrosting. However, the view was amazing!! They gave us a perfect view (room 3011). We could see both falls and beyond. At night it was incredible! The staff was very helpful, the valet service was excellent. Would I recommend this hotel? Only to someone who wouldnt mind the shabbiness, the weird "penthouse elevator", but was only there for the view. And that was exactly what we paid for. There are other hotels with Falls views that would have all the other amenities as well. They would be even more expensive than this was. So, we got exactly what we paid for and expected.
Traveler's tip on dining
Since we were going to Niagara on the Lake, it was recommended to us by someone at the hotel that we dine at Hillebrands Winery. But, when we got there a few hours later, we were rudely turned away for not having reservations. And I mean rude.... no consideration for the fact that we drove a very long way, no offer of a later time. Just no reservations, no dinner. I dont know when I have encountered anyone as unfriendly as this woman was.

Great stay!
I must admit that we were surprised in many ways when we arrived. We did not appreciate the very uniqueness of the structure until we saw it. We arrived a bit early and the staff gave us an upgraded room because it was ready. The location is great for views of the falls. There is an inclined railway directly in front of the hotel to take you down to the main viewing area and to catch the people-mover bus. In all - a great location, great hotel and great staff!
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The Canadian side is great for viewing the falls but a little touristy for us. The American side is more of a nature park and walk up close to the river and falls. We recommend Cave of the Winds and Maid of the Mist from the American side (shorter lines). While you are there do the three mile walk along the river and falls - fantastic.

Small but cozy,
Very small rooms but fantastic view. Worth the extra money for the falls view. Although if you want to save you can get a city view, they have an awesome observation floor.

Not what we had anticipated.
This hotel clearly caters to low-end-honeymooners as the room had paper cups instead of glasses. The view we had was of the horseshoe but not the American. In short the room was comfortable but out dated in decor and did not live up to the implied status of the website. Also there is no room service or breakfast on site.

Would Absolutely Stay Again!
If you like a very quiet hotel with helpful staff and incredible views this is your place. During our four day stay we only saw one other couple, they were checking in. We never ran into any of the other guests. We switched rooms in the middle of our stay and the hotel staff moved our luggage for us. We first stayed in rm 3009 which had a half view of the Horseshoe Falls and then we moved to rm 3012 which had an incredible view of The American Falls and the Horseshoe Falls. The bed was very comfortable. The only negative was that the shower in 3009 didnt drain fast enough.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
The hotel is located directly above the Horseshoe Falls and the fastest way to get to the Falls in by taking The Incline Railway. The problem is the Incline has at times a 20 minute wait and it costs $4 round trip and if you dont use it you have to walk for 10 to 15 minutes around the new Casino to get to the falls. Hint: If you buy a daily People Mover Pass the Incline is free for that day, but you still have to wait in line!

Great place to stay
The Observation deck was amazing, staff was very friendly and the valet parking was great you call ahead for your car and there it was waiting for you. The hotel is unique and can be seen from any view in niagara falls. Close to everything. We had a city view to save on some money, the rooms are small but the bed was more comfortable than the one i have at home. I have never slept so good in a hotel.

GREAT view, but...
The Ramada Fallsview is an older and smaller hotel compared to some of the newer places at Niagara. It is also home to the Konica Minolta Observatory, but if you get a fallsview room, youre on a higher floor than the observatory...save your money. Smaller rooms, but youre really there for the view of the falls. Amazing view! Valet parking was very convenient. Hotel website mentioned a pool and wi-fi and the hotel has neither. No wi-fi was very frustrating!
Traveler's tip on local attractions
You will get soaked on Maid of the Mist; be sure to protect your cameras! Whirlpool jet boat is overpriced for what you get and not really worth it. Cave of the Winds (US Side) and Journey Behind the Falls were reasonably priced and good tours.

Best view in Niagara for a great deal
My girlfriend and I stayed here for a few days and it was outstanding. All of the floors are on the 25th floor and above and the view is great. The people that work there are very friendly and the service was good. There is a restaraunt on the 26th floor that has good food and I would recommend going there at night to be able to see the lights reflecting off of the falls. Overall, this was a great hotel and I cant wait to go back!
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Check out downtown Niagara which is about 20 miles from the falls. Its a great little town with some awesome restaraunts. There are also some very good wineries on the way there and it makes for a great afternoon.

Crumby...
The idea of the hotel is impressive, it is located on the top few stories of a tower. The lobby of the hotel was simple but nice and the receptionist was friendly. Things took a turn when we had to take a wheelchair lift to the penthouse, which in actuality is just the top floor that doesnt appear to have regular elevator access. The room itself was really small and cramped, which would have been fine if it wasnt for the Cheetos crumbs on the floor, hair on the bed and dust on the curtains. The hotel has great potential but based on our experience we wouldnt stay there again or recommend it to anyone else. Definitely not service that is expected from a Ramada hotel.

Good view, thats it!
Dont be fooled by the well taken photos you see here. The hotel is old and small. The room is uncomfortably tiny-fallview 28th floor, but the view is nice. No wireless internet available. Parking is $15+tax. The room had cracked window, very noisy, just absolutely disatisfied with the hotel. You would like this hotel if you want the nice view for a reasonable price but if you want comfort, look elsewhere.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Check the prices of parking when you look cuz many places will charge you $15 or more for hotel valet parking.

View from our room on the 30th floor was awesome
This is a most unusual hotel. The bottom floor is the lobby--then there are 24 "flights" of just elevators. Floor 25 is a lovely restaurant with great views of the falls. Floor 26 is one of the best places Ive ever seen to take pictures. No reflections from the glass at all. Floors 27, 28, 29 and 30 are the only ones with rooms--and only 12 on each of them. We were fortunate enough to have made our reservations several months in advance, so that may be part of the reason we got "center front" of the 30th floor. The huge expanse of windows was probably over twice that of the rooms in the hotel next door. The staff was very helpful. The parking is off site, but the man would have our car available almost as soon as we called for it.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Restaurants are expensive and the ones where we ate were certainly not outstanding. Make sure you "do" the Maid of the Mist--but be sure that you tie the poncho at your wrists and knees to keep you from getting soaked.

Strange Place
This hotel was the weirdest place that I have stayed in a while. The night clerks gave us the "willies" and they had some kind of attitude. I dont know if it was because we wernt Canadian or what. We were very happy to leave. Niagara Falls is not a place that I need to see again especially from the Canadian side.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Dont eat out as the prices are ridiculous.

Needs a scrub & face lft!
The location is close to the falls and away from the loud tourist attractions. However, the rugs were dirty & stained; vents covered with cobwebs and the wallpaper and ceilings were peeling. The conintental breakfast didnt start until 8 am, had very minimal offerings and often ran out of coffee.

30th Anniversary was wonderful
The room was beautiful. Just right for a couple on an anniversary vacation. We were suppose to get a city view but we fortunate and we able to see the American falls from our window, this was an added bonus. We completely enjoyed our stay. We would go back again.
Traveler's tip on dining
Dining in Canada is very expensive. We usually only ate one meal a day out, a late lunch. Our room had a refrig. and microwave, so we ate the others in the room.

Good Deal
Stayed at the Ramada w. my BF 2 nights. We had a queen fallsview smoking rm. I was worried that itd reek of smoke as we dont smoke, but it didnt. It was a bit on small side, but more cozy than cramped. Everything was clean. The view was fab. For those who dont want to pay for an in-room view, the observation deck in the hotel has incredible views &, whenever we visited, we had it to ourselves. As for the rest of the hotel, everything was fine. All the staff we dealt with were friendly & professional. Check-in was quick & easy. Valet parking system was efficient/convenient. The free breakfast was decent & made things easy in the AM. They even had little "to-go" cups w. lids for coffee, which I thought was sweet. The only reasons it doesnt get 5 stars are technical. First, while rm view was fab, it was mostly of American falls. I wasnt surprised as Id done thorough research on Expedia & other sites. However, I feel as if our room should be labeled partial fallsview just to prevent dissappointments. Second, hotel is lovely & classy, but just not a 5 star hotel. If youre looking for extreme luxury, this isnt it. Its pretty basic. All that said, Id reccomend it easily. Its in a great location, has great views & better deal than a lot of places we looked at. My advice would be to absolutely go during the week & early in the spring as we did. It was a lot cheaper & we had no lines or waiting to deal with. At times it felt as if we had the whole area to ourselves!
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Get passes to save time and money. Fun pass on Clifton Hill and Adventure pass for the falls related stuff. Inniskillin Winery along Niagara Parkway has a nice tour with yummy tastings for $5 and you get the $ back in the form of a voucher for any purchases you make - and you WILL use it. Icewine is delish. Drive is pretty and not far. Niagara on the Lake gorgeous and you can see Lake Ontario while youre there!
