Loved It!!
I would recommend this hotel to my mother and she is VERY picky. Everything was great from the easy check in to the clean and spacious room. I think the best thing about the hotel was the location. We walked to almost all of our destinations and saved on cab fare.

Nice but not 5 star
We enjoyed our nice king room at the hotel; very clean. Toilet flush was huge. Location is great. Doorman mostly very helpful; they let us borrow the umbrellas and taxi always easy. But one elevator never worked. The lights in our fancy closet would not go off unless you put a tissue in the door to hit the button. The tv is so low, you cant see over your feet. We had room service tea every morning and it was well priced and folks were sweet in the morning delivery with the newspaper. Hotel bar was nice too. We had just came from Copenhagen and these prices were much better.
Traveler's tip on dining
Across the street and just around the corner was a nice pub with award winning steak and kidney pie which was delicious.

Hotel is all show with no no bells and whistles
My sister and I arrived at the Westbury Mayfair and the lobby is beautiful. However, the room was small, bathroom shower had trickles of water and the toilet didnt flush completely. After moving 2x we just gave up and accepted the fact that the hotel is old and has been glossed over so they can charge astronical rates for that part of London. On a positive the hotel is within walking distance of the Palace, Picadilly Square, & Oxford street. Would I recommend this hotel---NO
