Quaint hotel on the Rhine.
This is a nice hotel with the Rhine River right outside of your room river. Great view of the river looking across at Germany. Restaurant offers great views and quality food. I would recommend one of the fish entrees. The hallways are a little tired and could use a carpet cleaning or replacement. Room is not spacious but comfortable. However it is clean. The view of the river out the window makes up for the smaller size of the room. Conveniently located to the town center where there are many outside places to eat and stores to shop in. Parking ramp less than one block away. Once you park the car you can walk everywhere including across the brigde into Germany to catch a beer at one of the outdoor cafes in their central city.
Traveler's tip
Note that in Switzerland the currency is the Swiss franc not the euro. Most stores and restaraunts will accept euros and make the necessary conversion from francs to euros. Also note that the bridge between Rheinfelden and Germany closes to vehicles from 5 p.m to 8 a.m every day so if you are coming from Germany to the hotel make sure you get there before it closes. There is an alternate way to get across the Rhine if the bridge is closed but it is circuitous.
