Tropical tranquility

Returning to Las Brisas Ixtapa for my 21st year, the multi-million dollar renovations complete with the newest upgrade to the gymnasium. It is now packed with state-of-the-art Nautilus eqpt and proper gym flooring. The service throughout the hotel is always the best and I’ve stayed in other hotels in Ixtapa so I know how important the service differences are to the traveler who just wants to relax. The food is beautifully prepared and served and you just can’t beat Happy Hour with the most spectacular view in all of Ixtapa for sunsets and margaritas. You don’t ever have to leave the hotel property, but we finally did just to do some shopping. We didn’t stay as long as we would have liked this time but hope to do so next year. Mi segunda casa!

Save some money by eating at any little hole in the wall or any of the restaurants along the bay in Zihuatanejo. Las Brisas food is simply wonderful but can feel a bit pricey after a few days. Try something new!

Great place to stay

Great place to stay. Worth the extra money to get the breakfast and happy hour package. The view is great, the beach is very private, the service is excellent. My only small issue is that the prices tend to be a little high becasue the resort knows that you have to take a cab to go anywhere, so they pretty much have you.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

On your first day there take a cab to the supermarket and stock up. Also, it is a little more at first, but pay the extra money for the breakfast and happy hour package.
