Perfect Location
Employees were awesome and very helpful. Located between both cable cars and F-line, perfect for transit. Safe area. Being1 block from the Wharf made it quiet yet close.
Take the Victorian House Walking Tour -- no hills to climb. I’ve taken it 4 times. Great way to see Pacific Heights and other areas that buses can’t go. Very informative. Mets everyday, rain or shine at corner of Union Square by the "Heart" at 11:00 am. It’s been going daily for at least 13 yrs.

Proceed With Caution
Our first surprise was the disgustingly nasty parking fee. It didn’t include tax either. And there is nowhere else to park. So for the 2 nights we stayed, we paid an unexpected and painful chunk-a-change. Was my first time to SF and had not been aware of the parking crisis! Note to self: Don’t rent a car next time! The public transportation is abundant. The gal at the front desk was not very welcoming and a bit cranky. So we get to deal with that immediately after the parking thing! And of course we’re given an interior room. The hotel is rectangular with outward facing rooms and interior rooms. The interior rooms faced the other side of the hotel and other rooms’ windows. We had to keep the shades closed and it was like we didn’t even have a window. The room was small, which I understand is not unusual for SF. There were no extras in the room, but that didn’t matter to us since we weren’t planning on spending our vacation in a hotel room. One last negative before I get to the positives....the hot part of the complimentary breakfast was inedible. I would suggest walking up to Mama’s for a really delicious breakfast that will last you until dinner! Why I WOULD recommend this hotel...it’s clean, comfortable, well maintained and within walking distance to a lot of great places.

Perfect place to stay
The location of this hotel is perfect - within walking distance of many attractions. It was clean, comfortable and the staff was extremely courteous. They offer a FREE breakfast buffet every day, which includes bacon, sausage patties, eggs, toast, cereal, pastries and a variety of beverages. We did not have children but it is also very family oriented. They also offer FREE internet access in the lobby. They only have two computers so we had to wait but not very long. It was free so no complaints! I would definitely recommend this hotel!
