Great location-

Conveniently located and the staff was very helpful. They could have fixed the bathroom light fixtures-those over the sink were never installed during our 3 days!! However, we are pretty flexible travelers and that was a minor inconvenience compared to the location.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Within walking distance of the hotel where most tours to the Normandy Beaches and Mont St. Michel depart-

Awesome hotel. A+

Very clean and really large rooms. I give this an A+ for comfort and staff friendliness. Close to everything in town and a town cinema, shops, restaurants, grocery close by too if needed.

Maintenance was poor in an otherwise well located hotel

The bathroom blind was broken and the window overlooked the hotel courtyard. The yellow bed spreads were stained. Also, one night the lock on the door would not work due to a dead battery and the night clerk was not at the desk and had to be retreived twice. Otherwise the hotel was well located and the room was quite large.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Bayeaux was easy to get around to see the sights as well as dining was always close by.

Restful

excellent location, easy walk to Bayeux tapestry, can walk to train station in about 15 minutes but be sure to take directions if arriving by train. Located in historic part of town. Great location to visit Normandy beaches. Loved Bayeux.

Good basic hotel and location

If you bring a car, they charge 9 euros per day to park and you have to get there by 5 pm to get a spot. the check in desk is really on the Luxembourg hotel side, and rooms are quite small, but fine - wireless internet works well but is not free. breakfast also not included but not expensive and good variety.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Town is very well located for visiting all D-Day sites and is a neat town to walk around.

Good Quality for Three Star Hotel - Friendly Staff

The hotel is rated a three star but would rate it a three and a half. Travel to Europe 2 - 3 times a year and have a good knowledge of 3 and 4 star hotels. The room was generally a little larger than most, very clean and the staff very helpful. Beds, however, were small and uncomfortable (hard). It is locate approximately 3 blocks from two metro stations and the same distance from the Arch. Very few restarunts in the immediate area and close early. Would stay there again.

Traveler's tip

Eat in another area before returning in the evening and take the metro to and from St. George. Station at the Arch very large and confusing and depending on which exist you take, it is difficult to determine where in the plaza in are and can be along walk.

Excellent Hotel

Our room was large, clean, and modern. Location was great, and off street parking was nice (9 euro per day). Great starting point for D-Day tours too. Would surely stay here again!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Arromanches is a nice town about 10 min from Bayeux. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Would definitely stay there again

My stay at the Best Western Hotel De Brunville in Bayeux, France was excellent. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and cozy. The resturant in the hotel has great local cuisine. There is also secure parking as well. Within walking distance of many great sites. I would definitley recommend this hotel to those travelling to Normandy.

Nice Hotel in Bayeaux

We found it clean and resonable roomy. Easy walk to the tapestery, the catedral as well as shopping, etc.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Short walk to Bayeaux tapestery, and Ntre Dame cathedral. Longer walk to War museum. Nice to have a rental car in Normandie, although we did it all by train and guided tours.

Supringly spacious

Room was well configured for 3 people. Pleasant staff. Wonderful quaint town. Hotel nicely located. Off street parking was convenient, but a little difficult to find entrance. Be careful, space in lot is very tight.

Great Location; Average Hotel

Hotel was adequate for visit. Very good location - which was the reason we selected. Parking was available. Otherwise, our room was quite small, was quite dated and smoky. As we planned on it as a sleeping room only, it was fair; if the expectation is anything greater, we would not have been satisfied.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Great location if you are looking to visit the tapestry or American section of Normandy beaches. We took a tour or D-Day Beaches with BattleBus and was very, very pleased.

Small but clean. Good for D-Day tour visitors.

The hotel is connected to the Best Western Luxembourg and is difficult to find. One person services the desks for both hotels so there is sometimes a wait for service. Our room was very small but it was clean. Good breakfast. We stayed there for two nights to tour the D-Day landing sites so we spent very little time in the room. Several of the tours leave from a point very near (easy walking distance) the hotel. Ample parking. There are lots of good restaurants and shops a few blocks from the hotel. If you don’t plan to spend much time in the room, I would recommend it. The adjoining Best Western Luxembourg seems like a little nicer place. If you plan to do any of the D-day tours, this is a good choice with a cheap rate.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

If you are planning to tour the D-Day sites, there are many bed and breakfasts and rooms available at homes and farms in the Normandy countryside. When we return, we will stay at one of those places instead of a hotel.

Can’t wait to go back

Absolutely charming hotel with a spacious room and bathroom. The multi-lingual staff was very nice, and not the least bit put off that my French consists of only about a dozen words. The hotel is a very short walk to a sort of main street with lots of pubs and shops, the tapestries, the cathedral - it’s all just right there. A private parking courtyard is available at a very reasonable rate.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

I drove all over France, and I’ve found there’s really no such thing as free parking - and lots where you can leave the car all day are very rare - most are a two hour max. Leave the car at the hotel lot whenever you can.

Bare bones but does the job

This hotel is your typical bare bones, but built inside an old mansion it does the job. Super nice staff who speak very good English. The car lot is ideal if you rented a car, although a pay lot is next door if necessary. Only about 10 minute drive to the beaches of Normandy, enough said!

Traveler's tip

If you are interested in Normandy, rent a car from Paris and do the 2hr drive. The scenery is beautiful and driving in France is quite easy. Start east of Caen in Merville, and work your way West along the coast following the signs for Operation Overload. Street signs in France are clearly marked, although a car with a navigation system does help.

Excellent location

Would not recommend this hotel for a winter stay, very little heat in room. The location to the center of town is excellent, and they have a small car park so it works well for parking and walking around town. If I went in the summer, I’m sure I would feel differently.
