Not Bad but Not Terrific
The hotel is a bit detached from the city, infact its even in another suburb. However, they have a train line #26 that conveniently runs right into the heart of Edinburgh. Also, the area of the hotel is on the top of a hill with a nature preserve adjacent, and I found it to be incredibly peaceful and scenic. They have a gym which you have to pay additional for but I was pleased to put on my running sneakers and jog the beautiful outdoors. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and even recommended a great local golf course I was able to play the following day. As far as the rooms, the walls are thin, and they only had two single beds, which annoyed me some. On the bright side, this made the room rather spacious by European standards. So, I would recommend, but only if youre ok with being detahced from the city centre.
