Excellent Stay
The Hotel Staff was excellent and the say was outstanding. I do miss the Black Cat that was the Hotel’s mascot.

Great overnight stay. No traffic noice from the nearby Hwy 99.

Great for the $$$
We stayed in Bakersfield 2 nights for a weekend trip to Lake Isabella/Kern River. Probably could have found a hotel closer to the lake, but had a very tight budget. Hotel was nice and clean...no complaints. They had a very nice complimentary breakfast in the morning....they even had waffles! Staff is very friendly. DOn’t think I would ever want to go to Bakersfield again, but if I did I wouldn’t mind staying here again. :)
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Ask if you can get a room overlooking the courtyard, they have a pool, and a little waterfall pond that we didn’t notice until we got our breakfast in the morning.
