Great short stay resort/great service!
The staff was one of the key reasons the hotel was so great. Anything we needed at all somebody was around to help. The room was great, I loved retiring there and we spent a lot of time on our private balcony. The services and ocean front were beautiful and our excursion was planned for us very nicely. I have no complaints about the resort or hotel. Best money I’ve spent in a long time.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
There is a nice market right across the way. We were able to do a lot of our gift shopping and bargain with the sales people. I picked up a lot of nice things and would definitely go back to shop here.

Had a wonderful time!!!
The wife and I took our 3 kids..have a wonderful time. Fresh food all the time and great service...will definitely go back.
Do not take a taxi from the Cancun airport, use the local ADO..cost about $8 bucks per person.

One of the Best hotels ever visited
My family and I traveled to Playa del Carmen last August. It was a great experience at Riu Playacar hotel. The service and the food were excellent, but I got very impressed with the entertainment staff. They are the best people in the hotel and always try to do something different to keep the guest happy. They really did an awesome job during our vacations there and made them more enjoyable. We visited Riu Palace Mexico 2 years ago and it wasn’t so good. I would like to mention Jessica, the person who is in charged of the children, she also did an excellent job with my 4 year-old daughter. She is a very nice and patient person, so if you have children under 12 year-old, I highly recommend this hotel. We can’t wait to go back and enjoy our vacations there again.A+++++++++ Hotel and staff.
