Not impressed
The bathrooms were redone and clean. The breakfast choices were not impressive--microwaved sausage biscuts and shrink wrapped muffins. The scones were good! Wish coffee was an item they would have brought, but juice was fine. The room was extremely cramped--we were in a king sized bedroom facing pool. It is a long way to beach even though it supposedly is on the beach.The key is the old fashioned real key you need to relock the door with and also then find an easy spot to carry it in when you leave. Since the beach overlook rooms were booked, I am not sure what they overlooked. We couldn’t see any rooms that would give a beach look.
Traveler's tip on dining
Walk 3 or 4 blocks north to Mango Mango pub and restaurant, just on the corner of A Street. The food is good!

Great for the price
This hotel is on the beach, which was perfect for strolling and shelling. Our two-storey room was spacious and comfortable. The pool is great for swimming and lounging. Breakfast is brought to your room, and although not exceptional in any way, is a nice gesture. This was an easy and inexpensive getaway.
Traveler's tip on dining
Try the South Beach Grille. Nice setting, great mussels. La Strada also offered good fare. Both of these are on St. Augustine Beach, as is the above hotel.

clean, but small
Check-in was courteous. Room was clean and decently appointed, but very small. Short walk to the beach, which was beautiful. Not a good choice if you’re going to spend significant time in the room, but a good choice if you just want some place to sleep and wash up in between enjoying the St. Augustine area. The breakfast service was a nice freebie.
