Everyone is friendly here

I always try to be cautious about bugs in the room, that’s why I gave them a bad rating on room cleanliness. The first hint of a bad sign was the smell of bug spray that hit us when we enterred our room. After noticing that, I went straight to the beds and pulled back the linens-as recommended by experts on bed bugs. I found no evidence of bugs, but lots of food crumbs. I also noticed large blood spots on one of the pillows. The blood didn’t resemble a spot from a bug bite, but rather from someone’s scar or wound. I put that pillow aside and we slept without worrying about bugs. The next morning My daughter said she felt like bugs were crawling on her during the night (she was 13). She never saw a bug-but my suspecion was that it was cocroaches. I flipped my mattress that day and never had any other problems. My daughter wants to add that the pool water was cold and the pool heater did not work. She was also disappointed when the snack machines took her money-they weren’t working either. It’s important for you to know that the people there, in the office and housekeeping, are very kind. Noise wasn’t too bad (although the heater fan was a bit loud). Also to their advantage is a complimentary breakfast. So, if the cleanliness is not an issue for you, this is a fine place to stay.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

There is a wonderful festival that runs the end of July to the beginning of August-Spirit West Coast-which is at Laguna Seca. I recommend this as a great family activity in the area.

Very thin walls

I had trouble sleeping, due to the thin walls. We could here every word the people in the next room said. The bed was not real great.

If you want a clean room to sleep without any extra services and don’t mind driving 10 minutes to Monterey attractions, this place will work.
